63 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is International Jugglers Day which celebrates the skill of juggling, and those talented people who can juggle many balls and objects at a time. Common objects include: balls, clubs, swords, plates, rings, and flaming sticks. The best jugglers can juggle up to ten balls at a time.
Juggling is primarily entertainment. It is most well documented in Medieval times in Europe. It remains popular today. It can be most frequently seen when the circus comes to town.
Some might suggest that office workers are jugglers, as they multitask and keep several balls/projects going at the same time.
Celebrate Juggling Day by watching a juggler at work. Better still, get several balls and give juggling a try. You never know, you just might be a talented juggler!
April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month and National Grilled Cheese Month

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Animal crackers in my soup monkies and rabbits loop the loop, Gosh, oh gee, but I have fun, swallowin' animals one by one. In every bowl of soup I see…
A song introduced by Shirley Temple in the 1935 film Curly Top.
Today is also Animal Crackers Day. These fun little crackers are usually in the shape of circus or zoo animals such as elephants, lions, tigers, bears, and monkeys. You can make your own by following this cookie recipe.
Animal Crackers
3/4 cup granulated sugar
10 tablespoons salted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon milk
Frosting
2 cups powdered sugar
5 drops red food coloring
Special equipment: animal shaped cookie cutters
For the dough: Add the granulated sugar and butter to the bowl of an electric mixer and beat until smooth. Add the vanilla and egg and beat again, scraping the sides of the bowl halfway through. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the milk to the mixer until the dough comes together. Flatten the dough and put it in a plastic bag. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or baking mats.
Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut out as many cookies as you can in a variety of animal shapes. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheets and bake until they're just barely done, 8 to 10 minutes; you want them to be set, but not brown. Let the cookies cool completely before decorating.
For the frosting: Sift the powdered sugar into a bowl, add the food coloring and 1/4 cup cold water and stir to combine
Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack set over a baking sheet and drizzle the frosting over them. A few sprinkles on top is also nice. Let the frosting dry before serving the cookies, about 2 hours.
Anyway you look at it, it should be a fun day. Always remember that if you have the power to make someone happy, do it! I’m sharing more tulip pictures today. Slowly but surely the buds are opening up!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week. Happy Monday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends, and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls...are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered.
James Patterson
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3781. for jugglers, especially those that juggle time
3782. for circus performers, they always bring a smile
3783. for cookies, always good with a glass of milk
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
How many charming talents have been spoiled by the instilled desire to do 'important' work! Some people are born to lift heavy weights. Some are born to juggle with golden balls.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

How cute; never thought of making my own Animal Crackers :) Always such a fun treat to eat with little children. They enjoy picking out the animals they like :)
I think it would be fun to be a juggler, they look really talented as they are juggling balls, sticks, etc :) Takes a talent I don't think I have, but I can juggle a few tasks here at home.
betty
