81 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:54 am
Sunset: 5:07 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Today I’m celebrating Tick Tock Day. There are only two days left until the end of the year and this time of year we all think about whether or not we have achieved everything we set out to do or upheld our New Year’s resolutions and made a difference. Tick Tock Day puts the pressure on you to cram in some last minute work before the end of the year to achieve your goals! So before your clock rings that 2014 New Year bell get that list of things to do done; time is running out! Tick Tock!
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

As the year comes to an end, it is nice to look back on all the great times we have spent out doing what we love. I had quite a year adjusting to just being at home. Ever since I retired I had the joy of camping with some of my family and friends from April till October, but that all came to an end, so this is the first year I really spent just being at home. I fell in love with my porch and my patio. Wonderful places to be during the nice weather months, May though September. I also got a chance to see more of Ohio. I traveled from east to west, a little bit south and north and had a great time doing it.
There were many occasions too that enabled me to spend time with family. The holidays and festivals we got to go to were full of good times for all. I traveled to visit one of my out of state sons too. The visit with his family was just awesome. I’m also thankful that my health has remained good and I’ve been able to keep up most everything here at home too. Being able to take care of myself and my home means a lot.
Looking ahead into the New Year, I guess we’ll just have to see what the new year brings and keep the faith that no matter what may come the good Lord has it all in control.

Tick Tock, make every day count !
Hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday everyone!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Every minute starts an hour and every minute is a new opportunity. Each time the clock ticks you have a chance to start over, to say, do, think, or feel something in such a way that you and the world are better for it.

I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1265. for memories of good times
1266. for time to do what I love
1267. for each day as it comes
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Happy Tick Tock Day to you, Ma! It did seem like you had a great 2013 and that you compensated for not camping by finding other things to enjoy like your porch! The most interesting thing about 2013 I can say is how fast it went; lots of other people said the same thing. I can only hope 2014 slows down a bit :)
betty
Your porch sounds like a nice spot to me!
Have a happy 2014!
Good to see a photo of you 'Ma' with the little one.
