16 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
LUKE 2: 8-10
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Angels descending, bring from above,
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
Fanny J. Crosby
I love to hear good news, who doesn’t ? The angels surely did bring some good news as they proclaimed the birth of Jesus to the shepherds. Those shepherd were the first to also share that news with others too. Those lowly shepherds were very important people. The shepherds on the hillside that night were not bothered by shopping, parking, office parties or Christmas card lists. Their isolation served one good purpose, they were able to hear the Good News free from distractions.
This Advent season is a time to renew and strengthen the ties of family and friendship. Don’t let the season pass without knowing the joy of the newborn infant we call Emmanuel, God with us, and realize that He has come to give us His peace. That is the best news for all time, past, present and future.
If you haven’t heard any good news in a long time, remember this,
... the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
I hope you all have great start to this new week, Happy Monday!

I too like to hear good news, Ma. Amazingly good news the shepherds heard that night! What a wonderous night it must have been for them too!

This is a great post as always MA. I wish I had some of my grandkids around, we only have Lilly now and she is being home school. Ethan, he goes to the University of West Florida, and I don't get to see him that often. They're the only two we have living here. Take care, Jean
