70 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:53 am
Sunset: 5:16 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
National Joygerm Day celebrated on January 8th, this is one germ that you do want to catch, the Joygerm. Celebrate this day by laughing and being merry, because having fun is contagious A Joy Germ is a little germ of joy that is spread by smiling at people, making people laugh, and generally spreading happiness everywhere you go.
Smiling is infectious,
You catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner,
And someone saw my grin,
When he smiled I realized,
I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
Then realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine,
Could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
Don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick,
And get the world infected.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Our lives are like quilts - bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love.
Author Unknown
I’m smiling today and I’m joyful. It’ll be in the 30’s today. I never thought I’d be thankful for a 30 degree day. Yesterday I was thankful we rose above 0 and got into the 20’s and I was thankful for that too. Isn’t it funny how we never really appreciate something until we don’t have it.
We often take for granted the very things that deserve our gratitude the most. We do this with both people and possessions. The problem is many people do not realize this until the situation has come and passed. We take things for granted on a daily basis, always with the assumption that whenever we need something, it will be there.
Appreciate what you have before it becomes what you had.
I hope you all have a joy filled Thursday!
Give this one day to thanks, to joy, to gratitude!
Henry Ward Beecher
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow.
Swedish Proverb
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1298. for ***BIG SMILES***, I’ve got lots to share
1299. for thoughts of Spring, which give me hope
1300. for utility crews that worked in the subzero weather to restore heat to homes
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.
Leo Buscaglia
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

It has been raining here today I'm just glad it isn't freezing. We're not use to that kind of weather. Lol. Love the poem it made me smile. Great post.
So cute with Joygerm day! Glad to hear the "warm" weather put a smile on your face, Ma!

Our church teaches man is that he might have joy and have it abundantly. I think joy is something which we choose and we have to choose it each day of our lives. There are so many ways life tries to beat us down, but if we choose to dwell on the joy, it is immeasureably better. As always a beautiful and "joy" filled post Pam! xxoo
