63 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:52 am

If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
When doing my search for what holiday to celebrate on January 16th, I found out it was Do Nothing Day. I do believe that everyday is a day to celebrate and while having nothing to do is sometimes a good thing, I still believe we should be thankful for this day and enjoy it.
For many Thursdays are a work day or a school day so the opportunity to do nothing will likely be nil. Still if you can catch a few minutes to sit still and do nothing you’ll find a break away just might make it a extraordinary day.
It's okay if you mess up. You should give yourself a break.
Billy Joel
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Coffee, n. break fluid.
One thing I’ve always enjoyed is a coffee break. It is a popular fluid to drink when taking a break. I hear more and more benefits of a cup of coffee and the latest was that it helps your memory. I guess I better drink more of it.
No matter what you’re doing it is important to take a break. Even on days when I spend time on the computer, it’s good to get up and stretch and walk around a bit. These days I tend to get stiff anytime I sit too long. I did the same when I was working and sat at a desk too long.
After a nice break in our weather, we are getting colder. More snow could be coming our way too. I hope everyone was able to get their outdoor Christmas decorations put away during our January thaw. As always I’ll be praying for those traveling when the weather is iffy. Take good care everyone. Keep warm and be safe.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The time to relax is when you don't have time for it
Sydney J. Harris
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1319. for my good cup of hot coffee, it warms me up and helps my memory too
1320. for a break to refresh and renew
1321. for a few days of no snow, clear roads and even some sunshine
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?

A bit of love from someone dear…

I too do enjoy a coffee break, Ma. I try to get up and stretch a few times during my morning and afternoon shift. I am like you, I do tend to get stiff these days if I sit too long.
I like this Do Nothing Day. I will definitely take some time just to stop and do nothing ;)
betty
I like the do nothing day. I'm going to get my hair cut and some color put in but plan to get some do nothing time when I get back.
I would have loved to not have gone to work yesterday, so when I was there I figured even if I got nothing done, whatever I did would be more then the nothing I would have done if I hadn't gone... lol... :)
I think I take too many breaks! I am a day dreamer and can often be found with my head up in the clouds. Oh well, I suppose I could do worse things than that! Love all your posts Pam. You have always amazed me at how you come up with them every day! Your thoughts, your quotes, your photographs. All so very special and inspiring! xxoo
