HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR PRETTY LADY TODAY!
May the dear Lord bless you today and always! Happy Birthday!
This is another of my long distance birthday celebrations and this granddaughter lives the furthest away of any of them. Thankfully I did get to talk with her at Christmas this year. A card has been sent but I’m afraid it may be late. None the less, I’m sending best wishes for the happiest of days for her.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
This is our very first birthday celebration of the New Year. January 2014 will bring 3 more birthday celebrations our way too. Most all of them of the long distance variety.
It is important for me to celebrate each and every one of them. Even though I can’t do it in person, I still send of the best of wishes to all. There is nothing that matters as much to me as my family.
We are to be in the 40’s today with lots of rain coming our way. This is the warmest we’ve been since the first day of winter. I remember it well as that is when our family gathered to celebrate Christmas and it rained all day. As was the case then, our snow will be melting and there will probably be chances of flooding as there is a lot of snow melting and a lot of rain coming.
We won’t stay this warm very long as winter still has a long way to go. Hope you all stay dry and warm and
have a Super Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1304. for our Pretty Lady, may she have a wonderful birthday
1305. for a January thaw
1306. for english muffins with plenty of butter, yum!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Happy Saturday!! :)
Happy Birthday to Pretty Lady! I hope she had a great day! I remember my mom being diligent about sending cards to my kids for their birthdays, Christmas, etc. Always good to keep that connection and love open!
Glad to hear you had a bit of a warming trend!
