WELCOME JUNE
June is Aquarium Month, Candy Month, Dairy Month, Fight the Filthy Fly Month, National Accordion Awareness Month, National Adopt a Cat Month, National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, Rose Month and Turkey Lovers Month
Today is June 1st, Flip a Coin Day. It’s a day when making decisions is as easy as flipping a coin. This tradition dates back to Julius Caesar. Caesar would take a coin and flip it to make decisions where the right choice was unclear. The correct answer was 'heads', which of course carried his image on the coin.
To celebrate today simply Flip a coin. Use this method of decision making for all decisions, and for everything you do today.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Summer is a promissory note signed in June, its long days spent and gone before you know it, and due to be repaid next January.
Hal Borland
I do remember at least one time in my life when I made a decision by flipping a coin. Back in the day when I loved driving and had my first car I used to go for a drive just for the pleasure of it and having no place to go in mind. I’d flip a coin at the intersection to see which way to go. It was a fun way to see something new or not. Sometimes I’d just go in circles. Ha!
Making important decisions in our lives does mean doing a lot more than flipping a coin, if we want to make good ones. Tough decisions require a little thought and consideration and for me that means praying as well.
It is very hard to believe that the month of June is here and that May flew by so quickly. Once the nice weather hits, it always seems to be that way. The months of January February, and March seemed to creep by. It took forever for Spring to arrive and now it is almost summer.
School will soon be over and for me that means that some of my children and grandchildren will be in for a visit.
I’m sure that just like May, June will fly by too, but I have plans to enjoy every single moment ! The pictures today are of some summer fun had by some of my grandchildren last year. Hopefully there will be plenty more good times to enjoy this year.
I hope you all have a great start to this new week. Happy Monday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There shall be eternal summer in the grateful heart.
Celia Thaxter
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2814. for lots to do, it means family is coming
2815. for prayer, it always helps
2816. for my calendar, it helps me keep on track
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
People take pictures of the Summer, just in case someone thought they had missed it, and to proved that it really existed.

A bit of love from someone dear…

I know you'll be looking forward to family visits, Ma! How cute with you flipping a coin when you took drives. That's kind of cool; I think we'll do that when we go out exploring. Sometimes we'll say "left or right" but I like flipping a coin. I didn't know where that custom originated from; interesting from Cesear.
It is amazing it is June already!

Your grands always look so happy!
Welcome summer! Now if only the temperatures and sunshine would agree that it is summer! It's been very cold here and rainy. I always love your thoughts and I love seeing pictures of your lovely grandchildren. You have a beautiful family! Hope your Tuesday is a super one! xoxo
