Life is a Special Occasion!

June 27th is Sunglasses Day. A is a shady day for your eyes. Summer is in full swing. The sun is high in the sky. It's blindingly bright. A pair of UV protection sunglasses is definitely in order. Sunglasses protect your eyes from harmful UV rays and will help to avoid cataracts. And remember that UV rays can be stronger in the winter, as the sun's rays hit you on the way down and as it is reflected back up from the snow.
Enjoy Sunglasses Day with a shady, mysterious and fashionable pair of sunglasses.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Putting on a new pair of glasses or sunglasses is a simple way to completely transform your look - just like a new hairstyle.
Brad Goreski
I’m happy to say a lot of folks in my family do wear sunglasses and that is what my pictures are of today. I wear them too and they are the kind of glasses that change depending on how bright the sun is. We’re to have a pretty good chance of rain today, so I probably won’t need them. But it’s always good to know they are handy when they are needed.
Did you know that just like clothes say something about our personality, so do sunglasses.
Aviators: If teardrop shaped frames are your favorite, then you are leader. You are tough and you know what you want. You can make a career out of your personality type, such as joining the military or police forces. Or you can just go ahead and act like it.
Flip ups: You’re indecisive as can be if you can’t even decide if you should wear glasses or sunglasses! The good news is you might be onto something, like the comeback of a trend. Not everyone dares to wear something as bold as flip ups
Oversized: The sunglasses of the stars: you either are one, or want to be one. You may seem like a private person, but you’re really not afraid to be the center of attention. Chances are, you might just be lazy and want to hide your lack of makeup
Embellished: You’re all about fashion and looking different. You don’t care about comfort as much as you do about trends, which can sometimes actually hurt your health.
Cat eye: You’re literally just like the sunglasses you wear: a cat. You might be nice and purr at times, but one may never know when you decide to bite. A well known trend in the 50s and 60s, cat eye sunglasses are linked with dazzling vintage fashion, and were a favorite of the legendary Audrey Hepburn.
Sports: You’re either an athlete, or just a practical kind of person. You want your eye wear to be functional first of all, even if means giving up on style. You’re pragmatic, comfortable with who you are, and focused on what you need to do.
None of the above seem to fit the description of my glasses, I guess they simply say I care about the health of my eyes, not much else.
Hopefully you all have some sunshine to enjoy today !
Have a SUPER Saturday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Life is more than sunglasses and hit movies. Reality - that's the main event.
Sylvester Stallone
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

ADVICE FOR TODAY
Sunglasses are like FaceBook, you can stare and people and they have no idea you are doing it
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Glad to hear your daughter's surgery was successful, Ma! So many different types of sunglasses! I have the same type as you, my regular glasses change to sunglasses out in the sun. Always good indeed to protect our eyes!

Ditto what Betty just wrote about your DD's surgery!
Living in Phoenix, sunglasses are practically mandatory. But for some reason, I'm always 'forgetting' to put them on or they 'accidentally' get lost. Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading these Personality profiles. :)
Me, I've always been an oversize lens' type. I suspect it's just a coping technique to defect attention from my nose. LOL.
I even wore sunglasses when I was a kid and they were a bit hard to find in those days! My eye doctor said it was the best thing for my eyes. Must be the only healthy thing I ever did in my life! LOL,
Have a great weekend.
