Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Happy Hot Air Balloon Day. Today we celebrate the first manned hot air balloon flight in 1783. There is always something so peaceful about watching them float through the air. We see them often in the summertime and there are many hot air balloon festivals to enjoy. I could sit and watch them for hours.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Releasing a balloon is a journey of the heart
Today we also remember our little Pumpkin, my grandson who’s birthday would have been today. He was only 2 years old at the time of his death and that was several years ago. He would have been nine years old today. Someone once told me that people who grieve for an adult, grieve for what was. But people who grieve for a child grieve for what could have been.
Letting balloons go into the air are a way of remembering those that are gone but not forgotten, so it seems significant that this day was an appropriate way to remember him.
I have a little stuffed hot air ballon that was a toy from one of my children that I have here at my house and it always reminds me our our little Pumpkin, an angel baby now gone to heaven.
I am very thankful for all my grandchildren, they are all so precious to me and will never forget our little Pumpkin. So I’m wishing him a very special birthday in heaven today.
Today is supposed to be party sunny and partly cloudy one here. But I’m hoping for more blue skies than not.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Because someone we love is in heaven, there is a little bit of heaven in our home
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2826. for our little Pumpkin, gone but never forgotten

Your little Pumpkin angel is precious. what a great way to honor him...with a balloon remembrance.
The town my girls and their families live in is known for their hot air balloons. They have a festival, and the winery there even makes a wine to celebrate the weekend. I keep it stocked each year in my wine cabinet...it's delicious!!
Have a wonderful weekend.

I am so sorry about your grandson. Sending a prayer for your comfort.
We were sitting on the dock one day a couple of years ago when a hot air balloon swooped over us. It was such fun to look at and so colorful.
Hope you have a blessed weekend.

I remember and it is hard to believe it was - 7 years ago. What a difficulty this would be every day. The grieving must never stop. The only consolation would be knowing he is with our Father. Prayers for you and your family on this day. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the beginnings of summer. I have a day off with NO PLANS! Finally. Hope you have a good weekend.
Oh Ma, I do remember the sadness when your family lost Pumpkin. What a sweet little boy he was. I can't believe it has been 7 long years! So true about grieving a child.
