The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
Slightly adapted from one of my morning devotionals
Life is a special occasion!
Today is National Dog Day which celebrates dogs who have been man’s best friend for over 15,000 years. We rely on our wonderful canine companions to keep to keep us safe, give us comfort and love us unconditionally.
Today is our opportunity to show our appreciation for these wonderful animals and to find homes for all of the dogs that need a loving family.
Celebrate today and adopt a dog from your local shelter, take your dog for a walk, or treat your dog to a new toy.
To see the bright side, polish the dull side
Don’t accept your dog’s admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.

At this point of my life, I don’t have a dog but thankfully I live with one. She is a beautiful German Shepherd and loves her family. Now that summer vacation is over and everyone is gone all day, she is the only one here besides me and makes for great company. We have a fenced in yard so I don’t even have to take her on a walk.
I had many dogs over the years but am now just too old to be a good dog owner. I can barely take care of myself, let alone a dog. So I just enjoy the grand dogs when ever I can.
Most of my children have at least one dog. Some have two or three. That is what is shown in the pictures today. We are definitely a family of dog lovers and they are just like part of the family too.
Today is bright and sunny but they say it will only be 89 degrees as there is a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. We could use the rain for sure!
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week! Happy Monday!
A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won’t be too bad.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

12,627. for dog shelters taking care of lost and homeless dogs
12,628.for some rain coming our way
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.

a smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Celebrate today and spend some time with a dog! They make great companions
My gr-daughters have a rescue dog, about 7 years old. Lucy is a strong large dog, and she loves us. I usually drop pieces of food on the floor.
I love dog day! We had a little rescue for about 14 years - hardest thing in the world was when he passed away. Everyone needs a dog.
Enjoyed the visit. I have missed a few days, but think of you often. Life is good.
Have a happy dog week! xo, V.
I think we celebrate (aka, spoil) our girls every day. So glad you and your grandpup have each other to keep company while the family's away!
