The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
Slightly adapted from one of my morning devotionals
Life is a special occasion!
Today is National Potato Day which celebrates a popular food that has around for centuries. We use them to make baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, home fries, french fries - the list is endless. More than 45 billion pounds of potatoes are harvested in the United States each year.
Potatoes are not only tasty, they’re good for you! They contain high levels of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C, potassium. and iron.
Celebrate today and prepare some potatoes your favorite way! Enjoy!

My idea of heaven is a big baked potato and someone to share it with.

I do like potataes just about any way you can fix them. But they are full of carbohydrates and not good for blood sugar levels. I have to eat them sparingly.
Today they are going to take our company to the Riverwalk, I’m not going or not. It’s going as its to be a hot day and not very pleasant to be outside for long. I have been there before so will just stay home.
I hope you all have a GREAT start to this new week! Happy Monday!
It’s easy to halve the potatoes where there is love.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
Money is the root of all evil, and yet it is such a root we cannot get on without it any more than we can get without potatoes.

I do love potatoes. Have a good day Ma.
I don't eat so many potatoes -- but remember (as an adult) the first time somebody clued me into the GOODness of eating potato skins. That was even a popular appetizer at some restaurants.
