Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Buttered corn is good and good for you too!
I love corn on the cob! But I am lazy, I take the cooked corn and then, slice the kernels off onto my plate!
Tom usually buys the frozen half ears for convenience -- he's the only one who eats it on the cob. (I prefer the canned creamed variety.) I don't know what you have to give in Ohio, but one of my blog buddies in Florida said they're asking $1.50 an ear down there. Wow!
Thank you for the updating us on the books. I downloaded a free sample of Summer Island and enjoyed it. So much so, I may not wait the 8 weeks for it to come available at the library.
