ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY, MAY 3RD, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
Today is also National Teacher Day which honors all teachers. They need to know how much we value them and appreciate they’ve done over the past year. Today is the day to show your appreciation to your teachers and all the teachers you know that you care.
In 1944, and Arkansas teacher named Mattye Whyte Woodridge began a campaign to establish a national day that would honor teachers. She wrote letters to politicians, education leaders and eventually the first Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt. In 1953, Mrs Roosevelt convinced Congress to proclaim the first National Teacher Day.
Today, the National Education Association sponsors and entire Teacher Appreciation Week, which is full of events and activities.
To celebrate today, participate in one of the projects and take a moment to honor the remarkable individuals who have taught you or your children over the years.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill a love of learning.

This granddaughter is another of my long distance celebrations. She lives in Ohio but too far away for me to visit today. She wasn’t at our family Easter gathering either. So it’s been awhile since I’ve seen her. But a card went out to her with lots of love and birthday wishes !
As I have several teachers in my family, I will definitely be celebrating that today. DDIL#6 and DS#5 are both teachers and we also have several that are teacher assistants.
My grandmother was a teacher and when I was young, I got to go to school with her. She taught in a country one room school house that included grades 1 though 8. I was amazed at her ability to teach so many different subjects. Her students seamed to be much smarter than I was.
I don’t think there are any one room schools anymore. They’ve combined them into larger schools and now bus the children there. They used to have to walk to school down country roads.
All the teachers I know are very dedicated and special people. They all go above and beyond what is needed. Although they get the summers off from school, they work getting ready for a new school year and many of them have to go to continuing education classes that never stops.
And of course. we parents are our children’s first and best teachers and we should endeavor to do our best. That’s a job that never stops!
Thanks to all teachers today! You are very appreciated !
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Failure is a great teacher, and I think when you make mistakes and recover from them and you treat them as valuable learning experiences, then you’ve got something to share.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought

Happy Birthday blessings to your lovely Angel!
I agree, educators deserve recognition (AND better pay). Their patience and dedication to our youth is enviable.
