ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, MAY 8TH, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Mother’s Day which is our opportunity to celebrate moms, wives, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, sisters and all the wonderful people that have mothered us over the years. Let the important women in your life know how much they mean to you.
In England and other parts of Europe, people have been celebrating Mothering Sunday since the 16th century. Our modern American holiday is a relatively recent tradition in comparison. In 1912, a woman named Anna Jarvis from Grafton, West Virginia declared the first Mother’s Day in the United States.
To celebrate today, tell all the moms in your life how much they mean to you and show your appreciation with a beautiful gift, bouquet of flowers, or a gift card. Happy Mother’s Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I will definitely celebrate today! I love being a mom and never ever wanted any other career. I wanted to get married and have a dozen children. I only got to have 7 though, but am very thankful for all of them.
The pictures today are of each of my 7 children and their families. I love them all . I’m so blessed to have them.
DD and her family
I won’t have to cook today as DD and her family are having me over for dinner. Her husband is going to do the cooking and he is a very good cook. It’s a lovely sunny day in the upper 60’s and it looks like the week ahead will be a warmer one too. At long last there are no chilly days in the long range forecast.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
