ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is National Sense of Smell Day. The importance of the sense of smell is often overlooked and some don’t truly appreciate how much of a role it plays in every day of our lives.
Smell serves to protect us from danger. It can trigger memories in a way that little else can. It’s also a fact that no two people smell odors in quite the same way.
The best way to celebrate today is to give your snifter a good work out ! Try savoring new scents though out the day and really take time to appreciate all the various odors that cross your path.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Smell is the sense of memory and desire.
Jean-Jacques Rousseau
There are many wonderful smells to enjoy. One of my favorites is the smell of my good cup of coffee brewing every morning. The smell of Spring is in the air. I can tell if a cake I’m baking is done, just by the smell coming from the oven.
Flowers all have a smell of their own. Roses are different from hyacinths, yet both are very fragrant. Wood smoke in the air always reminds me of camping. Babies have a very unique smell and one that I treasure.
Thankfully I’m not allergic to any smells, but some are. I appreciate them all, even the bad ones because they warn us of something that’s wrong. The other day I accidentally turned on the gas in the stove , but due to my sense of smell I quickly turned it off.
This week I made a pot of chili and it’s spiciness quickly filled the house with a smell that made me very hungry. I could go on and on about smells, there are so many and for me, most of them are good ones.
It’s to be a rainy start to the day and even that has a smell of it’s own. It’s a good to turn on the oven and bake some banana bread.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
What greater gift than being able to communicate and enable our fellow humans the sensations of being alive.
Nicoletta Baumeister
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5927. for the sense of smell
5928. for a rainy day to turn on the oven
5929. for spring flowers, very fragrant
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You’re only here for a short visit so be sure to stop and smell the flowers

The banana bread will be a great smell for this rainy day of yours! I remember when we had our dog and I would be walking him, I'd walk by houses cooking bacon. That was a delightful smell to smell and always got me a bit hungry!

Good morning! Your 'for examples' have triggered so many pleasant memories! We're to take a drive out to the country in a little while and I look forward to inhaling all that has to offer ... after I swallow a Zyrtec, of course. :)
Yesterday Todd said he was craving some fried onions and so I made him some. They smelled so good when they were cooking. I think my favourite cooking smell of all has to be fried onions! I was just saying to Todd the other day that flowers don't have a smell anymore. At least not the ones you buy. THey have bred the smell out of them! Have a lovely Sunday! Thanks so much for all that you share! xoxo
