ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is also No Housework Day which is a day to remember that it is essential for people with busy lifestyles to factor in time to relax. Relaxation can low heart rate and blood pressure, reduce headaches and improve concentration.
Today is a day to relax.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Take a deep breath and just enjoy your life.
This grandson was very fond of dinosaurs when he was young, hence his nickname. I really cannot call him a boy anymore as he as grown into a wonderful young man. Although this is a very long distance celebration, my love and best wishes for a very happy birthday were sent off in the mail. The most recent pictures I have of him is when he and his sister visited their dad this past summer and that is what I’m sharing with you all today. I think they took a trip to Sea World.
Living so far away from some of my grandchildren and not being able to see them is a bitter pill to swallow. Time and distance keep us apart more than I’d like. Thankfully I do have quite a few that live closer and that I do get to see regularly. It seems my own children grew up in a flash and now with my grandchildren time seems to be going even faster.
This week was a wintry one but the good news is that the long range forecast shows temps in the 40’s and even 50’s for next week. All we have to do is get through the cold weekend ahead.
I’m taking time out today to relax and sit down to put together a Spring Bucket List. A bucket list is a list of all the goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to experience and hope to accomplish.
Here are just a few thing I have so far on my Spring Bucket list:
Plant a herb garden
Take bike rides
Spring clean the closet
Spend evenings outside watching the sun set
These are just a few things and I’m sure their will be more before I finish up the list today. It will be fun to check things off as I get them done and I’ll begin a new one for summer.
Taking time out to relax is an important part of any day, not just today or on Sundays. It can be 15 minutes or half an hour. What matters is that you take a break from work.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday! Take time to relax.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Give thanks to the Lord.
Psalm 118:1
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5866. for our Dino Boy, it’s his birthday
5867. for a bucket list, setting goals for Spring is fun
5868. for life lessons, waiting teaches patience
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.

What a handsome young man! Good that you keep communications open so when he's grown (gulp!) and able, he can travel to visit.
A Spring bucket list is a grand idea ... and (I think) list-making is fun!
I relaxed and took a photography class today, for MYSELF for once. :-) I was scared to drive to the part of the city where the class was held, (though I drove over there a thousand times when younger)... but MADE myself, and I thoroughly enjoyed the class, and am so glad I went.
I have been to church this evening, and have a day of REST planned for tomorrow :-)
