ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Appreciation can make a day — even change a life, Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.
Margaret Cousins
As I was a secretary and an office manager for many years, I can tell you that it was wonderful to have a day where my bosses showed their appreciation. All of them were great when it came to celebrating this day.
I’d get gifts like flowers, candy or gift cards for a dinner out. A few times they even took me out for lunch.
We all like to feel appreciated for whatever it is that we do and this day serves as a reminder to do just that. Let others know how much you appreciate them.
The pictures today are of my sister and BIL and me as we went out for an afternoon of fun visiting some antique shops then enjoying dinner together. We were celebrating our belated birthdays and their anniversary so we had to have dessert too and it was delicious.
After our rainy Tuesday the temps have cooled off to mid 40’s once again, but I’m not complaining because tomorrow the sun is going to shine and we’ll have temps in the 50’s.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday! I so appreciate all of you !

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Nine tenths of wisdom is appreciation. Go find someone’s hand and squeeze it, while there is still time.
Dale Dauten
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

That dessert looks delicious! Look like you and your sister/BIL had a fun day together! I do remember being honored when I was a secretary on this day when we would be taken out for lunch sometimes or at least given flowers. Now in my present profession there is a week in May that is called National Medical Transcription week. I think Ronald Reagan instituted it when he was in office. The company I work for sponsors fun games throughout the week with people having a chance to win prizes like TVs, tablets, etc.

Antiquing and supper? What a fun outing! I have to laugh at myself when visiting vintage shops, because I recall them being fixtures, NOT antiques!
How well I remember being feted on Secretary's Day. (I still choke on saying 'Administrative Professional' ... lol) Unlike my last job, I was so blessed to feel sincerely appreciated in the past.
How wonderful that you got to spend the day with your sister and BIL! That dessert looks magnificent! I haver had any kind of appreciation days when I was working. Its a lovely idea. I trained as a secretary right out of highschool, and then went back as a 45 year old and got my medical secretary certificate, which I passed with honors. It was quite an achievement for me at that age! Love all that you share Pam! God bless you! xoxo
