ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Walk Around Things Day which is an important day to avoid problems and risks, by simply walking around the potential problem. Just as we wouldn’t walk under a ladder, it is also wise to walk around objects, especially those that pose risk or danger.
Walking around things can also be used figuratively. It is wise to walk around, or avoid topics, issues and problems that are sticky, or may provoke an argument or that are not easily solved.
If ever there was a day to ‘Walk Around Things’, today is that day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Of all exercise, walking is best.
Thomas Jefferson
Walking is always a good thing, it provides needed exercise and can improve or maintain our overall health. Even a little is good but more is better. It’s good for your heart and is a great stress reliever. Getting up and moving helps everyone feel better, and there is nothing better to get your energy back up than get out and getting a little fresh air and exercise.
These days walking around the grocery store seems to be where I get my walking in. I will be happy when the weather warms up and I can just enjoy walking around the yard. Even pushing the lawnmower around sounds pretty good at this point.
Our temps are in the 30’s today and we may even see some snow. High winds are leaving many around northeast Ohio with no power. Here the lights are on and I hope it stays that way.
The pictures today were taken after church Easter Sunday. I was so happy to have some of my family there, we definitely filled up one whole pew.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want take, all the books I want to read and all the friends I want to see.
John Burroughs
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5857. for walking, it’s good for you
5858. for a good day to get things done inside, when the nice weather comes, I’ll want to be outside .
5859. for family, friends and faith
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
After dinner sit awhile, after supper walk a mile.
English Proverb
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma
You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought

I need to remind myself to "walk around" things all the time. It seems I've developed a knack for walking INTO these these days. Just enough to add a new bruise... :)
I'm glad you got to spend Easter with your family. It looks like you had nice enough weather for the kiddies to hunt their eggs. (Or at least to get their picture taken outside.) I hope the snow vacates your neck of the woods soon. Enough's enough!
Take care.
Oh, that fedora on your little grandson in the first picture is the best! My favorite!
Good reminder to walk around things! Since moving, our girls(pups) have been extra clingy and underfoot ... I call them little land-mines
What lovely Easter pictures Pam! I especially loved the last one of you with your grandchildren. How wonderful that you got to spend this time with your family! Family times are the best of times. I used to love going for long, long walks. Sadly arthritis means I can no longer do that very well. I wish I had appreciated being able to walk more when I was able to do it pain free! It really is true that you sometimes don't appreciate what you have until you don't have it anymore! Happy Thursday! xoxo
