ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Love Your Pet Day which is a day to pamper your pet. Whether it’s a dog, a cat or a fish give them lots of love and attention today.
They say that approximately 39 percent of US households own at least one dog and 33 percent own at least one cat. Pets provide wonderful companionship and actually decrease your blood pressure and stress.
Happy Love your Pet Day!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms
George Elliot
I depend on my grand dogs these days for any interactions I may have with a pet, but I have many of them and they are all great pets.
This week is to be a wet and rainy one so right now I’m thankful I do not have to be walking a dog outside. There are many reasons I don’t own one at this point in my life but mostly because it just got too hard for me to keep saying good bye. Sadly we do live longer than most of our pets do.
I’ll be slowly getting out the Easter/Spring decorations out around here and that is what is in the pictures today. I wish I could say it was done, but not yet.
It’s been about a week now since I’ve even left the house at all and I’m thinking that tomorrow is going to be the day to get out and restock the pantry. I don’t need a lot but the necessities.
So at best it will be a short trip out and back. I’ll be fortunate to have the strength for even that. This flu really packed a wallop!
We are to be in the 60’s for yet another day before it drops a bit come Thursday! Feels and looks like the beginning of Spring around here. Water puddles everywhere !
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Such a short little lives our pets have to spend with us and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them.
John Grogan
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5728. for pets, they are great companions
5729. for wet Spring like days
5730. for a short drive to the store
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

MA, I have been gone too long from reading your blog. It cheered me up just now. I love your blue and white chickens! My Easter things are still packed in the shed, and I would have to move many things to find them, so I don't know how many will make it out. I'm going to try to find some, but not today, we have awakened to an ice storm! I will be facing having no pets soon enough, it will be a hard day for me.
I’ve been missing my daily visit with you and happy to be back this morning. Warm here today but cold is coming tomorrow. Rain is in the forecast every day this week. I may get my Easter stuff out before too many days go by and decorate before we go back down to the ranch. I like to leave everything looking pretty and clean when we leave! So nice to come home to a clean house!
So glad to hear you're feeling stronger! Our/my dogs have enriched my life beyond measure, but when they go on before ... why, the pain. I can't even.
Adore your pictures as always, MA. Hope you are feeling better a little every day. I've been praying. Lovingly~ Andrea xxx
