ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
It’s National Chocolate Covered Nuts Day. Nuts have been a staple of the human diet for thousands of years. In the 17th century chocolate became a popular drink throughout Europe and people soon learned that everything takes better when it’s covered in chocolate. By the middle of the 19th century it was common practice to dip items like pretzels, nuts, and fruits into melted chocolate.
There are countless varieties available to buy, but its more fun and cheaper to make your own. All you need to do is melt some chocolate in a pan, add some nuts and stir it all up. Then allow the nuts to cool before eating.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Sundays, quiet islands on the tossing seas of life.
S.W. Duffield
It used to be that getting Chocolate Covered Nuts mean a celebration at our house. We had them for most holidays and family celebrations. But the celebrations I have here at my house are getting few and fewer. If I want some, I just go out and buy some. The babes have taken over the celebrations these days.
Easter is our next big family get together and that will be on March 24th this year in conjunction with one of my grandson’s confirmation. Easter is officially April 1st this year but our family gathering will be a week before. DDIL#1 and family will be our hosts. And that will probably be a good thing as they are usually warmer there than we are here. Just a couple hours to the south makes a big difference.
It’s to be a windy day here and hopefully that will help to dry things out a bit. There was a lot of rain this past week and huge puddles are everywhere around the house. I need to find some muck boots to wear if there is going to be any yard work done here this spring. There are lots of twigs and branches on the ground from the tree trimming that was done here late last fall. I never got them picked up due to the cold and snow.
Strange as it may seem, yard work is something I’m looking forward to. It’s been a long winter and I need to get outdoors. But it won’t be today. It’s another day indoors for me recuperating.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

While I am more than ready for warm weather I am not yet ready for yard work. Hope you have a great week!
Chocolate-covered nuts are a treat, indeed! My son gifted us a tin of what I thought was white-chocolate covered nuts, but they were pretzels. Sooooo bad, but SO good!
Yes, MA, I feel past due in getting outside too. It truly has felt like a long winter and I anticipate spring more than usual this year. Blessings~ Andrea xxx
