Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today we celebrate Chaos Never Dies Day. This day recognizes the turmoil in modern, everyday life. Just when things seem to calm down at work and home, along comes something to disrupt your life. Yes, disorder is everywhere. Hectic schedules, changes to plans, unexpected tasks and chores, the list goes on and on and on.
You can best celebrate this day, by recognizing that chaos never dies. Rather, its a way of life. You can partake in this special day, by putting just a little order back into your life. You can start, by picking one thing that is really disrupting your life, and change it for the good.
On the bright side: If you think your life is chaotic today, just wait until the holiday season arrives.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is bittersweet. Sometimes bitter. Sometimes sweet. Sometimes both. Your view of God's sovereignty will determine how you respond to the chaos in life.

I know that life is not easy and try to remember that the good Lord never promised easy, only that He would be with us each step of the way. No one ever told me that the roller coaster of life never stopped, only slowed from time to time.
I know that nothing ever stays the same and sometimes the changes that come out way aren’t very good ones. The great thing is that we get a choice on how we handle what comes our way. Our attitude can make a big difference.
I’ve always said that I love normal days. Those days where really nothing exciting is going on. They are a blessing and when you have one, you just know everything is right in the world.
Good or bad, we don’t get a choice about what may come our way, but we do get to choose what we do about it. The Lord never said life would be easy, but He meets me each day where I am and gives me guidance, answers, things to ponder and comfort. I can rest easy knowing that as I let go and let God, my life is in perfect order.
It’s a cooler day here in my part of the world but it’s to be sunny. We had this beautiful sunset Friday evening and I had to share it all with you in the pictures today.
I hope you all have a RELAXING and restful Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow
Melody Beattie
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3292. for a normal day, they are the best
3293. for choices, we all get to decide what we can do
3294. for my church, Sundays wouldn’t be the same without it
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
46 Days Until Christmas
Snowman Soup will warm the hearts of good little boys and girls. This is perfect for stocking stuffers, office gifts, Secret Santa presents or 12 Days of Christmas gifts. You simply take a single serving package of hot chocolate mix, chocolate candy kiss, marshmallows and candy cane, package in a mug or holiday themed goody bag, then add a gift tag or bag topper for a cheery winter gift.
1 individual packet hot chocolate mix
2-3 chocolate kiss candies
10-15 mini marshmallows
small candy cane
treat bag or zipper food storage bag
plastic wrap or small zipper storage bag
Place mini marshmallows in small zipper storage bag, or wrap in plastic wrap. Tuck hot chocolate packet into treat bag. Add marshmallows, chocolate kiss candies, and candy cane.
Seal bag or close with twist tie. Holiday hint: glitzy chenille stems make pretty, decorative bag closures. Curl stem ends around a finger or a wooden spoon to create a curly closure! Attach hand written tag using the Snowman Soup poem below.
Snowman Soup Poem
Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow.
It's sure to do the trick!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Love should create peace within. Not chaos between the heart, mind and soul.

This entry hits right on target with me as I begin the work schedule change in the morning! Thank you for your inspiring words!! I love the snowman soup idea!! I might just have to use that!!!
Oh, I always love your posts so very much!
Your post today reminded me of a sermon "You Meant It For Bad, But I Turned It Into Something Good". You should be a preacher, you know!
Snowman Soup? What an adorable idea for gifting the little ones!
I had to chuckle about Chaos. Night before last our not-quite 6 months old HVAC unit decided to fly into a frenzy (i.e., wouldn't quit running). We were fortunate to have someone out in a matter of hours, but like Gilda Ratner said, "It's always something!"
Such a pretty sunset! So true that Jesus told us when life becomes tough, not if it becomes tough; but so comforting he indeed is walking alongside us :)
Getting to be that weather for hot chocolate and that snowman soup sounds so cute :)
betty
I know a bit about chaos and I never did like it. I love peace, order and quiet.
Blessings this beautiful Sunday to you!
