Today is Extra Mile Day. Going the Extra Mile Day is a day to do more than normal, no matter what the area. In short, it is a time to extend ourselves in attitude and efforts, a time to find ways to make advances in various areas of our lives. This is the right time to examine our lives ask ourselves what we can do to go the extra mile.
Do not wait for extraordinary circumstances to do good action; try to use ordinary situations.
Jean Paul Richter
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Go the extra mile. It is never crowded.
I hope you all got up at the right time today and all is well in your world. I do remember Sundays where I was either late or early for church, because I forgot to reset the clock. I have only two here at my house that reset themselves, the rest I have to do myself and it’s no easy task.
Doing a little extra every day can make life a lot easier and whole lot more fun for ourselves and others too. That little extra can put a smile on someone’s face and then you can’t help but smile yourself.
It’s to be around 50 here today and this morning it’s cloudy! A day to make our own sunshine !
I hope you all have a RELAXING and restful Sunday!

53 Days Until Christmas
Don’t forget that November is also Thankful month! I’d love to have you join me in listing at least 3 things every day that you are thankful for. Remember to list the things that were extra ordinary in your day. Blessings are there for all of us if we take the time to look.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !

My very favorite month! It's fun to read all the monthly 'honorees' ... personally, I'm tickled to see Peanut Butter Lovers up there.
Going the extra mile is a super challenge for this season of Thanksgiving!
One of my uncles made grandfather clocks. He had quite a few around the home. He did always change the time on all of them when the time would change twice a year :) I'm sure it took him a few days to get them all changed.
Will take you up on the challenge of 3 things that were extraordinary in my day to be thankful for. That will be fun to look back at the end of November and reflect on the list and the wonderful blessings from God (I'll keep track of them in my prayer journal :)
