Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day is today. Get together a soap and hot water filled bucket, disinfectant, a sponge and a garbage bag, and you are ready for the day!
Due to our hectic and busy lifestyles, the cleaning of the refrigerator gets neglected, hence the creation of National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day. Use this day to clean out your refrigerator, top to bottom. When it comes to food safety, we fall back to the old saying: When in doubt, throw it out!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Cosy fire a-burning bright,
Cosy tables robed in white,
Dainty dishes smoking hot,
Home! And cold and snow forgot!
Louise Bennett Weaver and Helen Cowles LeCron, November
We are getting closer to Thanksgiving and that means we’ll all be doing a lot of cooking. I know that means I’ll be preparing some food ahead of time too, so I will need more room in my refrigerator. It’s a bit overcrowded now and there are things way back on some of the shelves that I haven’t even touched in a while. I usually use some warm water mixed with baking soda to wipe everything down as I clean. A box of soda on the shelf when your done is supposed to keep your fridge smelling good too.
Our family’s Thanksgiving feast is this coming Saturday, the 21st. We’ll be traveling to DS#1’s house to celebrate. As this time of year there will be many traveling home for the holidays, please join me in praying for a safe and happy holiday for all.
I’m thinking in the days ahead this Santa’s helper is going to be very busy, so I’m taking the opportunity to relax today. They are saying today will be bright and sunny and a much warmer day than yesterday was with temps in the 60’s.
I hope you all have a RELAXING and restful Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.
Edward Sandford Martin
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3313. for a refrigerator that holds a lot
3314. for food to prepare, it means a holiday is coming
3315. for a sunny day, especially this time of year
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
39 Days Until Christmas
It’s time to clean out the refrigerator. In the weeks to come, the refrigerator will play a starring role in the holiday kitchen, so clear the decks for holiday cooking with a refrigerator clean out.
Toss expired foods and work the last dribs and drabs of salad dressing, produce or dairy products into the week's meals. Make room now for the taste of the season to come !
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Thanksgiving is possible only for those who take time to remember; no one can give thanks who has a short memory.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

How fun with your upcoming family time, Ma, to celebrate Thanksgiving :) Lots of turkeys and roasting pans at the stores here; we're still working on our plans of what we'll be doing this year :)
Enjoy your restful day :) We are supposed to have about 62 degrees today and possibly snow tomorrow.

Ya, the state of my refrigerator is an embarrassment right now. We've no plans, as yet but your group photo brings a smile to my face. (Why, I hope that wasn't YOU standing atop a ladder taking the picture!)
Loving your little Santa and all of your ideas for cleaning out the refrigerator. I find that all too often my refrigerator is filled with lots of jars filled with only little bits of this and that. Time to get rid! Have a fabulous week! God bless you. xoxo
