36 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
February 12th. is Abraham Lincoln's actual birth date. However, in modern times, we celebrate Lincoln, and all of the U.S. Presidents, on President's Day. In addition to serving as president during the civil war and saving the Union, Lincoln wrote the Emancipation Proclamation that ended slavery in the U.S. forever.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him.
Abraham Lincoln
I am very proud to be an American and I love my country.. We all need to work together to keep our county something to be proud of.
Here at home we are seeing more and more minutes added to the daylight hours and even though its still very bitterly cold out we have seen some sunshine too. Today I hope to be able to get out and get some errands run. It seems like about once a week I need to replenish some things like milk bread and some fresh fruit of some kind. Other wise I could go for weeks with something to eat here. The panty is full.
I’ve had some busy days with babysitting now and then for some of the grand’babes’ but for the most part there isn’t much going on here. Winter hibernation will soon be over and hopefully I’ll be ready to enjoy the warmer days ahead.
I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Abraham Lincoln
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1400. for spaghetti faces and smiles
1401. for Valentines that have already started arriving
1402. for my good carmel vanilla creme coffee this morning
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
I have just tried to do my very best each and every day.
Abraham Lincoln
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Spaghetti faces are the best! Hope you were able to make it out there safely today, Ma, and get the errands done you needed to do! I am so enjoying the extra light in the evenings; we're at about 6 p.m. with still just a bit of light in the sky :)
