30 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:19 am
Sunset: 6:06 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
February 18th is the day to stop juggling and start single tasking because today is Single Tasking Day. It is a time to slow down and remember that we’re all more effective if we tackle one task at a time. Like, say, driving a vehicle.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You must remain focused on your journey to greatness.
Les Brown
I’m not much good at multi tasking and rarely do it except when I’m on the computer. I listen to the news on TV and work on my newsletter at the same time. But I really don’t catch all the news, only bits and pieces of it. If I want to hear and see all the news, I need to do just that…watch the news.
I’d say that is how it goes with anything. We need to concentrate on one thing at a time, if we want to accomplish our goal and get the job done right.
Too many times our lifestyles make demands on us that make us think that multi tasking is the only way we can get things done, but nothing will be done as well. Remember to take things one at a time and you’ll be glad you did.
Although it looks like we have about 5 more inches of new snow on the ground today, today we finally start to warm up a bit. Schools are closed here once again. We are to get into the mid 30’s today and then will warm up more every day till we reach the 50’s on Thursday. Sorry to say we’ll be sliding backward after that, going back into the 20’s next week.
One day at a time is how I’m taking it here.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The moment one gives close attention to any thing, even a blade of grass it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.
Henry Miller
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1418. for one task at a time, the only way I get anything done
1419. for one day at a time, and time to enjoy it
1420. for one good cup of coffee, followed by 2 or 3
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Only when your consciousness is totally focused on the moment you are in can you receive whatever gift, lesson, or delight that moment has to offer.
Barbara De Angelis
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Wow, another 5 inches of snow! Glad you get a bit of a warm up before it dips again. I think as moms with young kids at home we get good at multi tasking, but I think as we grow older it is a bit harder to multi task, at least for me. I like the thought of a single task day indeed!
