44 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:38 am
Sunset: 5:47 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Today we celebrate Thank a Mailman Day. It’s our chance to say thanks to the guy, or gal, who delivers our mail. After all, they are there six days a week. The reliable postal worker is always there doing their job, regardless of the weather. They are a hardy lot.
Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I’ve already mentioned more than once how thankful I am for our mail carriers that have faithfully endured this cold and bitter winter. They have made it out each and every day no matter the weather. They do deserve our thanks.
The week ahead will be bringing us yet more snow and some temps close to zero once more. The groundhog certainly knew what he was talking about this year.
While watching a movie on one of my favorite channels the other night I came across a new quote that I liked and am thinking it’s going to have a permanent spot here in my newsletter.
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Every day I try to give you at least one reason to celebrate, but it’s true all of life is special occasion
Every day may not be a good one, but there is always something good to be found in each day!
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Every moment is a golden one to those who have the vision to recognize it as such.
Henry Miller
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1376. for our hardy mail carriers
1377. for occasions to celebrate
1378. for life and all that comes with it.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
To send a letter is a good way to go somewhere without moving anything but your heart.
Phyllis Theroux
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I did hear that your part of the country was again getting some rough winter weather. I'm sure all of you are looking forward to the beginning of spring! I do appreciate the mail carriers; they have so much to contend with trying to get the mail delivered. I'm sure they wonder how their jobs will be affected down the line with so many things being done on the internet.

I've always wanted to be a mailman... I still love sending paper mail through cards and letters... And receiving them too... Happy Tuesday!!! :)
I was just saying to Todd how difficult it must be to be a mailman and have to be out and walking about in all kinds of weather. I do not envy them that! WE used to have the same mailman all the time, but now with the mail service being privatized we get different ones each time. I would rather have the same one. They became more than postmen, they became friends! I just love getting mail, even the bills! It always feels like Christmas, oh, well maybe not so much the bills, but you know what I mean! xxoo
