47 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:40 am
Sunset: 5:45 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Here comes February, a little girl with her first valentine, a red bow in her wind-blown hair, a kiss waiting on her lips, a tantrum just back of her laughter.
Hal Borland
WELCOME FEBRUARY
February is . . . . National Blah Buster Month, National Embroidery Month, National Grapefruit Month, National Snack Food Month, National Weddings Month, Responsible Pet Owner Month, Return Carts to the Supermarket Month, Creative Romance Month, American Heart Month, Canned Food Month
February is also Go Red Month. For me that means that I’ll be wearing something red every day this month. Go Red For Women ,sponsored by the Heart Association, is a reminder for all to come together and fight the No. 1 killer of women --heart disease.
February is the month that celebrates Valentines Day and is the perfect time to learn about your heart, and how to take care of it.
If you haven't any charity in your heart, you have the worst kind of heart trouble.
Bob Hope
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life
Proverbs 4:23
There are all kinds of broken hearts in the world. Some need medical attention and others simply need some love. Love is a gift that works miracles. Whether it comes from our family, our friends or from knowing that no matter where we go or where we are, God loves us and is with us always, we all need love in our lives.
We do need to guard our hearts and to make sure that we are doing the best we can to protect them. Your heart's condition depends on the things you allow into your heart. These things form your thoughts and attitudes, and ultimately, shape the deepest part of your being.
I have found that prayer and Scripture, are two of the best ways to protect my heart. The bottom line is guard your heart, even when you don't feel like it.
I’m anxiously waiting to see what the Ground Hog will be saying about spring tomorrow. Will he see his shadow or not? From years of experience I can only say there will be 6 more weeks of winter. This year could be different, who knows?
Hope you all have a super Saturday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Gratitude is the memory of the heart.
Jean Baptiste Massieu
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1367. for love, the greatest gift of all
1368. for lots of red to wear
1369. for loving hearts that care
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Who, being loved, is poor?

I'm eating oatmeal this morning which is especially good for your heart... Poor Groundhog, I was reading an article that says he has only ever been right 42% of the time... It's still fun to see what he will predict... Either way, Spring will be here before we know it... Happy Saturday... :)
I am humming that song now, "Love Lifted Me". Thanks for that, I always liked singing that in church.
Protect your heart, I like that advice.
Happy February.
I do like that Scripture to guard our hearts. I do think that includes what we expose ourselves to, people who might constantly bring us down, books we might read, stuff on TV, etc.
February sure has a lot of things to celebrate in it for being such a short month!
