45 DAYS UNTIL SPRING!
Sunrise:7:38 am

If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
In February, we celebrate libraries with Library Lovers’ Month. We get a whole month to celebrate school, public and private libraries of all types. This is a time for everyone to recognize the value of libraries
Perhaps no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest.
Lady Bird Johnson
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The richest person in the world - in fact all the riches in the world - couldn't provide you with anything like the endless, incredible loot available at your local library.
Malcolm Forbes
We are blessed here in our town to have great libraries. Our schools have libraries and we have a public library with several branches. What is not to like about a library? They offer all sorts of reading materials from newspapers and magazines to how to do it books. They even have online books to read.
I have a small library here at home. That is I have a few shelves loaded with books. It is no secret that I love reading and learning new things. I have also started a library of sorts by downloading all sorts of books to read on my Kindle. There is probably not enough time to read all the books I’d love to read.
Not long ago I watched a movie where a homeless gal went to the library and educated herself on how to pass the test to get her realtors license. She became a successful real-estate sales person and was no longer homeless. There is just truly no end to the benefits our libraries offer. All you need is the interest in learning.
I spend a lot of time reading these cold and very snowy winter days and can say there is nothing like a good book to take your mind off the weather. If you can’t afford a vacation to get away from the cold, you can take advantage of the library and read a book that can take you away. I’ve visited plenty of places through books that I know I’ll never see in person.
I hope you all have a great start to the new week ahead. Happy Monday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.
Cicero
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1373. for a good book to read on a cold winter day
1374. for our flower garden, even though it is hidden beneath the snow
1375. for opportunities to learn something new every day
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Everything you need for better future and success has already been written. And guess what? All you have to do is go to the library.
Jim Rohn
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

I love libraries!
Libraries are my favorite places to go when we move to a new area and getting a library card is one of the first things I do after we move. I always tell people, and I'm sure I said it here, who cannot love a library? A building full of free books to check out and read. What can be better than that?

I love Books and Libraries!!
Our trees are starting to bloom and the daffodils are coming up... Spring is coming... :)
We have a beautiful library in the city. Todd is a frequent user of it. I don't use it much myself now as I have a difficult time holding books to read with my arthritis. I mostly read on the kindle these days. As a child I practically lived at the library in the summer. Books have always been very good friends! xxoo
