If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Psalm 136:26
O give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Not what we give,
But what we share,
For the gift
without the giver
Is bare.
James Russell Lowell
I hope you all haven’t tired of me giving thanks every day for the blessings I’ve received because from now until Thanksgiving that is what I’ll be writing about. Being thankful.
I love the quote above and believe it is quite true. What would a gift mean to us if it weren’t for the person giving it. I am thankful that I get gifts. . . Gifts for Christmas and birthdays, Mothers Day and Easter too. I wouldn’t be getting any of these gifts if it weren’t for my friends and family and they are the real gifts in my life. And when I think about it, all the gifts I have come down from heaven and I call them blessings.
When I woke up the other day my mind was a mixture of a thousand different thoughts going every which way. I had so much to do, but first I knew I had to do my daily devotional, then my newsletter and eventually get my thoughts in order too.
It was a very cold crisp morning and the sun came out making it look quite beautiful with the frost sparkling on the leaves on the lawn. How could I help but be thankful for another brand new day. So that is how my day started and it ended much the same…being thankful.
I finally got to see the full Beaver moon. It was a clear night after many cloudy ones.
I hope you all have FANTASTIC Friday!

COUNTING MY GIFTS
We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
Thornton Wilder
I have counted at least 3 things I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1154. for the beauty in each day
1156. for those that make each gift special
1157. for all the blessings that come my way
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
I would thank you from the bottom of my heart, but for you my heart has no bottom.
