27 days until Thanksgiving
50 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
54 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
It was on this day in 1802 that 35 delegates met in Chillicothe, Ohio, the seat of Ross County, for the state’s first Constitutional Convention.
He loves his country best who strives to make it best.
Robert G. Ingersoll
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Dull November brings the blast,
Then the leaves are whirling fast.
Sara Coleridge
October brought many nice days our way, but now November has arrived and so will the colder and shorter days. Less sunlight and more lamp light will be the thing.
Thankfully there are some holidays to look forward too. My days will be busy preparing for them. First we have a some November birthdays to celebrate, then we’ll have the arrival another new grandchild and before the end of the month, we’ll get together for our family Thanksgiving celebration. It won’t be until the days of January, February and March that the days will tend to stand still and seem to never end. It takes a long time for Spring to arrive.
For now though, time seems to be flying by. I have to regularly remind myself to slow down and enjoy each day. Today’s pictures are of our sweet little AB and her brother, Mr. Wonderful carving pumpkins this year.
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
How wonderful it would be if we could help our children and grandchildren to learn thanksgiving at an early age. Thanksgiving opens the doors. It changes a child's personality. A child is resentful, negative—or thankful. Thankful children want to give, they radiate happiness, they draw people.
Sir John Templeton
I have counted at least 3 things I'm thankful for this past year and have now reached my 1000 gifts. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
1091. for November, the month that reminds us to be thankful.
1092. for family celebrations that bring us together
1093. for each day as it comes
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
The thinnest yellow light of November is more warming and exhilarating than any wine they tell of. The mite which November contributes becomes equal in value to the bounty of July.
Henry David Thoreau
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Hi Ma.
Seems once school starts in September the year is gone. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years seem to arrive faster every year. Even so I love the holidays. This year will be a bit difficult since we're still trying to get used to Johnny being gone. But life is good. Have an awesome day. Love you much.
Great pictures carving pumpkins! I hope all the grands of yours, Ma, had a great Halloween however they celebrated it.
I too like the light so the evenings will seem long once we change back the time this weekend, but it is good you have lots to get ready for in the next two months to keep you busy :)
