Oh joy!
This evening is supposed to be our Dulcimer night. The last of the season and I do hope the weather doesn’t get bad.

THINKING
Advent is the time of hope, a time to renew the light of Christ in our lives.
As He came to bring us the light of eternal life, we hope to share our light with others.
This week, make a conscious effort to recognize the good things people do - however small their actions - and create opportunities to thank them for their goodness
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Christmas Pretzel Treats
Salty pretzels combine with sweet chocolate for these fun treats that make a yummy gift few can resist.
Bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels
M&M's candy
Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug
Heat the oven to 170F. Set a number of bite-size, waffle-shaped pretzels (one for each treat) in a single layer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, then top each pretzel with an unwrapped Hershey's Kiss or Hershey's Hug
Bake for 4 to 6 minutes (the white chocolate will melt more quickly), until the chocolates feel soft when touched with a wooden spoon. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven and quickly press an M&M's candy into the center of each Kiss
Allow the treats to cool for a few minutes, then place them in the refrigerator to set, about 10 minutes. Place handfuls of the candies in clear plastic bags and tie on colorful ribbons
ATTIRE FOR TODAY
Even though it will be warmer today than it has been, up to 45 they say, it will be windy so it will still feel pretty chilly out. Tonight the deep freeze will turn on and well go down to 22 and tomorrow night they say it may be 13 degrees for a low.
BrrrChill !
PRAYERS
Loving and powerful God, grant us the gift of hope, patience and waiting in these Advent days so that the focus of our waiting will be on you.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
I took some time out last evening to check my Christmas list to see just how much I have to do and when I can do it . As far as I can tell I should be able to get it all done just in the Nick of time.
