ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FEBRUARY 3RD, 2009
TODAY'S THOUGHT
If you touch a spider web anywhere, you set the whole thing trembling. . . . As we move around this world and as we act with kindness, perhaps, or with indifference, or with hostility toward the people we meet, we too are setting the great spider web a-tremble. The life that I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place and time my touch will be felt. Our lives are linked. No person is an island.
Frederick Buechner
TODAY’S ACTION
If you judge people you have no time to love them.
Mother Teresa
TODAY’S QUOTE
Preconceived notions are the locks on the door to wisdom.
Merry Browne
IT’S TUESDAY !!
Unbelievable but true – we had another sunny day yesterday with temps in the 30’s. What a relief. I needed a break so I could prepare for more cold and snow. It will be and cold and snowing (only an inch or two) here again for the next few days and then it will warm up for us by the weekend. They say it could rain Saturday and Sunday. I’m hoping not too much as there is still all this snow to melt.
Enough about the weather…after all the Groundhog saw his shadow and there will be 6 more weeks of winter.
The week ahead has nothing but work on the calendar for me til the weekend and right now that looks pretty quiet too. Quiet days to dream about Spring.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S REFLECTION
She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
Proverbs 31:26
Someone said that simple courtesy seems to have been buried. No one bothers to be polite anymore. There's no time now to be civil. "Please" and "Thank you" have disappeared from our everyday vocabulary.Pascal said, "Kind words produce their own image in men's souls, and a beautiful image it is. They soothe and quiet and comfort the hearer. They shame him out of his sour, morose, unkind feelings. We have not yet begun to use kind words in such abundance as they ought to be used."
TODAY’S ADVICE
