ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FEBRUARY 10TH, 2009
TODAY'S THOUGHT
If nature has made you a giver, your hands are born open, and so is your heart. And though there may be times when your hands are empty, your heart is always full, and you can give things out of that.
Frances Hodgson Burnett
TODAY’S ACTION
God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.
Have you used one to say "thank you?"
William A. Ward
TODAY’S QUOTE
Love is the beginning, love is the middle, and love is the end.
Oswald Chambers
IT’S TUESDAY !!
I made it through another Monday so today should be a lot easier. Even though work is not busy at all, getting back in the swing of things is always a little hard to take. My weekends are just never long enough.
Did you get to see the beautiful big bright full moon yesterday morning?
It lit up my way to work. I always like to think that no matter where they are my family can look at the same moon that I look at and that seems to bring us all a little closer.
Today is supposed to be rainy and still warm with more rain tomorrow. After that we cool back down and could have snow. It’ll be that way now for a couple of months I suppose. February and March and into April it is up and down weather wise.
DD has problems with water in her basement so we’ll be saying a little prayer that the rain will be minimal for her sake.
Take good care all !
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Dear God, strengthen and guide us today.
May our thoughts, words, and actions testify to our love for you.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.

Today is
Umbrella Day in honor of one of the world's most invaluable inventions. On a rainy, day, we are sure glad that someone was smart enough to invent it. It's also increasingly popular to use umbrellas to shade ourselves from harmful UV radiation, and the heat of the sun.
Umbrellas come in all sorts of sizes, colors, shapes, and, designs. Businesses and organizations use them for advertising. The smallest umbrellas fit inside a purse or glove compartment. Golf umbrellas are popular sizes. Then, there are lawn and beach umbrellas. There's one (or two) made just for you

TODAY’S SMILE
THOUGHTS ON RAISING KIDS . . .
If it was going to be easy, it never would have started with something called labor!
The smartest advice on raising children is to enjoy them while they are still on your side. The best way to keep kids at home is to give it a loving atmosphere . . . and hide the keys to the car.
The joy of motherhood: What a woman experiences when all the children are finally in bed.
Life's golden age is when the kids are too old to need baby-sitters and too young to borrow the family car.
Grandparents are similar to a piece of string - handy to have around and easily wrapped around the fingers of grandchildren.
There are three ways to get something done: Do it yourself, hire someone to do it, or forbid your children to do it.
There are only two things a child will share willing: communicable diseases and his mother's age.
Money isn't everything, but it sure keeps the kids in touch.
An alarm clock is a device for awakening people who don't have small children.
The people hardest to convince that it's time for retirement are children at bedtime.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
God said,Let the water teem with an abundance of living creatures
Genesis 1:20
God has made magnificent things on all the earth, the land and the sea. Among them, water—being most precious then, as it is now
Let us deeply consider what we can do to assist in conserving what we can of this great planet of ours, and in doing so tell others, so that they too can assist in sharing the word of God
Reflection of the Daily Gospel
The most important function of art and science is to awaken the cosmic religious feeling and keep it alive.
