TODAY'S THOUGHT
The best portion of a good man's life - his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love
William Wordsworth
TODAY’S ACTION
Have you had a kindness shown?
TODAY’S QUOTE
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

IT’S TUESDAY !!
It is supposed to be a little warmer today and tomorrow then we’ll be going back to winter with temps once again below freezing all the way through the weekend. BrrrChill!
It seems I spent most of my evening on the phone last night. I heard from DS#1 on his BIG SANDWICH pursuit of last week and it turns out when they went to the restaurant on Friday, it was closed. They had a temporary power outage so that feast will have to be rescheduled.
I also heard from DS#4 and he’s been a ‘travelin fool’ he says. His work has had him all over the place. Today he leaves for the West Coast and next week he has a conference he has to attend for work. The good news is that his wife will be joining him for the weekend in between his work related travels and they’ll have a little vacation. Their wedding anniversary is coming up next month so this will be a little celebration for just the two of them. DDIL#4’s mom and dad are watching the children for them. So I’ll be praying for safe journey for both of them .
And DS#6 called too to check in. They had the day off for President’s Day and went shopping and got a new dining room set. Nice way to spend the day I’d say.
Here at home all is quiet as usual. Work is still very quiet and most of our snow is gone except for the ones that were really huge piles along the road and in the parking lots but they are dwindling too.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Dear God, help us to set our minds on you and
on the blessings you bring us.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day. And, you know what to do...perform a few random acts of kindness. Almost any kind deed will do. And, we highly recommend you perform kind acts on as many people as you can.
This is a favorite day of many people and groups. People like the idea of showing a little kindness to others. Its a fun and good thing to do. And, they like being on the receiving end of this day as well. It makes both the giver and the receiver feel good
Today is National PTA Founders Day. In 1897 The National Congress of Mothers was founded in Washington, D.C. Later, it became the National PTA

TODAY’S SMILE
BRIGHTEN YOUR CORNER
We cannot all be famous
or be listed in "Who's Who",
But every person, great or small,
has important work to do.
For seldom do we realize
the importance of small deeds,
Or to what degree of greatness
unnoticed kindness leads.
For it's not the big celebrity
in a world of fame and praise,
But it's doing unpretentiously
in an undistinguished way.
The work that God assigned to us,
unimportant as it seems,
That makes our task outstanding,
and brings reality to dreams.
So do not sit and idly wish
for wider, new dimensions
where you can put into practice,
your many good intentions.
But at the spot God placed you
begin at once to do,
Little things to brighten up
the lives surrounding you.
If everybody brightened up
the spot where their standing,
By being more considerate,
and a little less demanding.
This dark old world would very soon
eclipse the evening star,
If everybody brightened up
the corner where they are!

TODAY’S WORD

so long as to seem endless; never stopping
from Late Latin interminabilis, from in- “not” + terminabilis
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Like apples of gold in settings of silver
Is a word spoken in right circumstances.
Proverbs 25:11
The apples of gold in settings of silver are thought to be golden balls arranged in silver filigree baskets. No doubt they were carefully hand-crafted, valuable, and very beautiful. So should our words be.
Jean Shaw
