IT’S WEDNESDAY !!

OVER THE HUMP DAY!

Woo Hoo! The week is half over already. I’m really not rushing the days; they do go by fast enough all by themselves. It’s just I love the weekends so much.

Well I am now an official card carrying senior citizen. I got my Medicare card in the mail yesterday. I promptly put it in my wallet so I wouldn’t loose it too.

When I turned 60 I got the official ‘Golden Buckeye’ card. Now that I’m going to be 65 next month I get a Medicare Card. I think I preferred the ‘Golden’ one better.

I’ve had health insurance for the better part of my life and haven’t used it much. It is something we all need and cannot do with out should we get sick, but this Medicare is something I don’t know much about. Hopefully, the good Lord will bless me with many more healthy days so I won’t need to find out right away either.

The other thing that keeps running through my mind is that I still feel like the same old me, how did I get to be 65 already.

Today is National Battery Day. People get a charge out of National Battery Day. We are absolutely energized about the many uses and applications. It's an opportunity to celebrate a vital invention. Batteries are used everywhere, from the battlefield to smoke alarms to headsets. They come in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and power capacity, to fit a wide array of needs.
Just imagine where the world would be without batteries. We'd still be using a crank to start our automobiles. We'd have to cart around long extension cords to bring the boombox to the beach. And, forget about hand-held games. They'd never be popular tied to an electrical outlet.

How many times have we done something great and immediately asked for no one to know? Probably not very many. Jesus was able to do the things he did because he was God, just as he acted with complete humility because he was God
Even though we will never have the power of God, we all have some special talents. We can look at Jesus as a role model of how to use our talents to help others while remaining humble
