81 DAYS UNTIL WINTER
Sunrise: 7:24 am

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Ask a Stupid Question Day which is for taking the opportunity to speak up and ask all those questions you've always wanted to ask but you didn't because you thought it was a stupid question. So go ahead and ask all those questions you were afraid to ask. Use the day to find out many answers to all your many questions.
They say that there are no stupid questions. So, don't hesitate, ask questions
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Take the attitude of a student, Never be to big to ask questions, Never know too much to learn something new.
Og Mandino
I agree that there are really no stupid questions. It’s the only way we can learn. However, there are times that I avoid asking too many questions as I really don’t want to know the answers. They might not be what I want to hear and I go by the standard that what I don’t know can’t hurt me.
Of course there are many questions that we’ll never know the answers to. I’ve gone around in circles at times trying to find the right answers, but have learned it’s better just to keep the faith and trust that the good Lord has control of it all.
We’re on day three of a rainy streak here and I’ve spent a lot of time doing things inside. The good news is that next week is to be sunnier and a little warmer too.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Mulled Cider Day
I love a cup of hot cider on a chilly fall day and always have cider in the fridge when it’s available. You can find packets of mulled cider ingredients in the stores but I found a recipe to share that allows you to make your own if you’d prefer.
Slow Cooker Mulled Cider
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 quarts cider
1 teaspoon whole allspice
1 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
orange slices
Put all ingredients in crock pot and cover cook on low for 2 to 8 hours. Spices may be taken out.
Serve from crock pot with ladle.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The greatest gift is not being afraid to question.
Ruby Dee
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4270. for my faith, the most important thing in my life
4271. for cider, cold or hot it is good
4272. for my furnace, it still works. I had to turn it on to take the chill off.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
It is better to know some of the questions than all of the answers.
James Thurber
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I agree, Ma, sometimes I don't want to know the answers to some of my questions. I also agree there is no such think as a stupid question, especially if we can learn from the answer.

I've always told the young nurses I trained that there is no such thing as a stupid question, just a question not asked! People who don't know need to ask!
I am always asking questions. No one knows EVERYTHING! (Although a lot of people THINK they do!)
