14 DAYS UNTIL FALL

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Pardon Day is today. Its an opportunity to seek forgiveness where needed.
Today is also a day to say 'Pardon Me', or 'Excuse Me' as appropriate. In today's busy society, too many people race about their lives, forgetting the small courtesies in life. Among the easiest things to let slip by, is etiquette.
The roots of this day go back to September 8, 1974. On this day, newly installed President Gerald Ford issued a Presidential Proclamation pardoning President Richard M. Nixon of any wrong doing related to the Watergate scandal.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The small courtesies sweeten life; the greater ennoble it.
Christian Nestell Bovee
Manners affect how we speak and how we act in any situation, with any person. Manners reflect our heart and they affect the people around us.
Here at my house the grand babes have quickly learned the magic words of please and thank you. Do to the fact that they all love Mickey Mouse some have thought the magic words were Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse, one even said Abracadabra, but soon learned otherwise.
Excuse me or pardon me go a long way toward forgiveness too. When someone realizes you are sorry or contrite, it makes it much easier to forgive.
Saying excuse me, Pardon me, or I’m sorry are words you will never regret.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday !
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you — not because they are nice, but because you are.

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

I liked all the fall decoration pictures. Good manners indeed are very important in tge times we live. A simple I'm sorry can go a long way to keep the peace.

"Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you — not because they are nice, but because you are. " I love this quote. I want to share it with my grandchildren today so they will understand what Pardon Day is all about!!
