ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 24TH, 2010
It's WEDNESDAY!
OVER THE HUMP DAY!
As you can see I’m still on line. Other than taking a while for my Outlook program to load up everything else seems to be working on my computer right now. I’ll be sending this out on Tuesday evening instead of Wednesday morning like I would usually do just in case.
THINKING
Today: Fast from complaining about the way things are
Instead be willing to accept things whatever changes may come
Search YouTube for Come to Jesus to find the song by Chris Rice. Sit quietly as you listen to and pray the song
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Wednesday are Sandwiches for Supper Days
Enjoy the mouthwatering taste of a Philly Cheese steak on a slider bun. Easy to make & great for parties, picnics, or a quick family dinner.
Some call them sliders, some call them hoagies, and some call them Hero’s
12 slices deli roast beef
1/4 cup butter, room temperature
8 ounces white mushrooms, sliced thinly
1 onion, sliced thin
6 slices American cheese
6 dinner rolls or slider-sized buns
6 long toothpicks
In a sauté pan, melt butter over med-low heat.
Add sliced onion and mushroom to pan, sauté until onion is nicely caramelized
Remove onion and mushroom from pan onto warm plate. Set aside
Briefly warm roast beef slices in same pan of butter until no pink shows on meat. Do Not Overcook Beef. Remove from pan onto warm plate
Split dinner rolls in half and place cut side up on a baking sheet
Place a folded slice of American cheese on half of each split roll.
Lightly toast dinner rolls in conventional oven at 350 degrees F. until cheese is just melted
Remove rolls from oven and top the plain halves with roast beef, onions, and mushrooms. Pile it high!
Place cheesy halves on top, secure with a long toothpick, and you have yummy sliders ready to eat
The real Philadelphia Cheese steaks come wid wiz (cheese whiz), so if you want to be really authentic you can substitute that for the American cheese

PRAYERS
Loving Father, we have witnessed your miracles yet have failed to recognize the wave of your hand. Forgive us when we receive good from you and do not give thanks
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AMEN
And please remember to pray for the men and women who serve everyday here at home too
God bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's!!!
AROUND HOME
I am starting to feel more confident about my trainee at work. She seems to be very cheerfully accepting the work load and isn’t quite so overwhelmed now. Hopefully these next couple of weeks will be enough time to give her the knowledge she’ll be needing when I’m no longer there.
COUNTING THE DAYS

Change is not always easy to accept, but accept it we must if we are to progress and to grow. Sometimes it's downright painful. we are going through some very painful changes right now. Hopefully they will bring about some positive results! xxoo
PS glad your comp is still up and running!
I must be hungry. You talking about thess Philly cheese sandwiches and friend Betsy talking about Prime Rib. Yum. I am now wanting a hearty breakfast instead of a banana. lol
