ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 29TH, 2010
It's MONDAY!
It is back to work today!
This week they are saying we will see warmer temps and sunshine. Today will still be on the cool side but it’ll warm up and my Saturday we should be in the 70’s. Normal temps for this time of year is in the 50’s so this is unusual for us. It looks like Easter weekend should be great.
THINKING
I love Holy Week, because it gives me a chance to make that last push before we celebrate the Resurrection really count. Throughout the entire week we are reminded that there is a journey taking place, a progression towards the Easter celebration
During the week our ancient roots in the Jewish faith are entwined with the events of Jesus' life. We are reminded that Our Lord gathered with his Apostles to celebrate the Passover. We recall our ancestry with the Children of Israel and our close relationship with them.
We can look at Holy Week as a means of retreat, restoration and renewal of personal faith. In the garden, Jesus asks his disciples to pray with him. During Holy Week we can spend extra time with Christ in prayer and Scripture reading
Today: Fast from taking the little blessings in life for granted

PRAYERS
Lord Jesus,
I give you my hands
- to do your work.
I give you my feet
- to go your way.
I give you my eyes
- to see as you do.
I give you my tongue
- to speak your words.
I give you my mind
- that you may think in me.
I give you my spirit
- that you may pray in me.
Above all, I give you my heart
that you may love, in me,
your Father and all mankind.
I give you my whole self
that you may grow in me,
so that it is you, Lord Jesus,
who live and work and pray in me.
Amen
Grail Prayer
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
And bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's!!!
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

FAMILY
An easy Easter craft
Mini baskets are fun for kids and they add a bright touch to your table.
Fill ice cream cones with jelly beans. With a small knife, carefully cut two holes into the sides of each cone. Tuck either end of an apple licorice stick into the holes to serve as an edible handle.
