ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 20TH, 2010
It's SATURDAY!
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING EVERYONE!
It is the first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. At the equator, night and day are the same length, each lasting exactly twelve hours
We were in the mid sixties yesterday but today we’ll be going back down to more normal temps. We are suppose to have a high around 50 degrees today. I’ll take it and be thankful for it !
THINKING
Spring An experience in immortality
Henry David Thoreau
Give up complaining and focus on gratitude.
Give up pessimism and become an optimist.
Give up harsh judgments and think kind thoughts.
Give up worry and try to trust in God.
Give up discouragement and be full of hope.
Give up bitterness and turn to forgiveness.
Give up hatred and return good for evil.
Give up negativity and be positive instead.
Give up pettiness and become more mature.
Give up gloom and enjoy the beauty that is all around you.
Give up jealousy and pray for trust.
Give up gossiping and try to control your tongue.
Give up sin and turn to virtue.
Give up giving up and instead hang in there!

NEW IN THE KITCHEN
I thought I share the recipe for what I’m making for a dessert today.
The recipe is always found on the bag of Stella Dora Anginetti Cookies.
They look like little mini Crème Puffs
1 Pkg. 5 oz. Anginetti Cookies
1 ½ cups whipped topping
1 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened
1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
Cut the cookies in half horizontally and set aside
Beat whipped topping and cream cheese in small bowl with electric mixer at medium speed 1 minute or until blended.
Gently stir in pineapple .
Spoon 1 Tbsp. pineapple mixture onto bottom half of each cookie. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Makes 10 servings about 2 cream puffs each.
PRAYERS
Father, preserve in us a sense of wonder at the marvels of life. May all that we see around us lead us to you
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn
Hal Borland
Around noon today DS#1 and his family should be arriving. They are taking me out to lunch at everyone’s favorite restaurant. After that we’ll be going to DD’s and her hubby’s house for the Party Hill get together. It should be a fun day all around.
COUNTING THE DAYS

Christina Rossetti
