a pictorial journal
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 11TH, 2010
It's THURSDAY!
The weather has been so mild I got outside and took some pictures yesterday evening. We had early morning showers yesterday and there is just a slight chance today, but tomorrow we may see a lot more. The warm temps we have are very unusual. The norm for this time of year is 44 degrees . We got up to 57 yesterday.
THINKING
Affection is responsible for nine-tenths of whatever solid and durable happiness there is in our lives.
C.S. Lewis
We all want the best for ourselves and those we love
Today: Reflect on the people who bring joy and happiness to your life.
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Sandwiches for Supper
Easy Meatball Hero
2 cups Traditional Italian Sauce
16 (1 ounce each) frozen fully-cooked meatballs
4 long hard rolls , split
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 4 ounces)
grated Parmesan cheese
Heat the sauce and meatballs in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 20 minutes or until the meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.
Spoon the meatballs and sauce into the rolls. Top with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
PRAYERS
Dear Father thank you for showing us your love in the midst of daily events.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
The snow has really melted in the back yard but not as much in the front of the house. You can tell it is in the shade. I had an e-mail from my old camping buddy and we are going to try to meet up for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon. The last time I got to see her was before Christmas so we’ll have a lot to catch up on.
FAMILY
DS# 6 had given me a plant with some red flowers on it which I have placed in the kitchen and DS#4 sent roses which have some type of orchid or lily in it and my neighbor gave me a green plant for my birthday. I love plants and flowers and since we can’t have them outside right now these are really appreciated. They are a touch of Spring for sure.
COUNTING THE DAYS
In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty-six different kinds of weather inside of four and twenty hours
Mark Twain
9 DAYS UNTIL SPRING !
36 DAYS UNTIL CAMPING SEASON BEGINS
22 DAYS UNTIL MA RETIRES
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…
Love,
ma
