ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 9TH, 2010
It's TUESDAY!
Our snow is beginning to melt!
I’m glad I had a chance to do some birthday celebrating over the weekend as Monday, my actual birthday, was pretty blah. It was work as usual for sure. The boss did interview one person yesterday and will do another today. He really liked the one on Monday so we’ll see what happens with that.
One bright spot in the day was a telephone call at work from our Princess and Prince Charming and their mom to wish me a Happy Birthday! That was a surprise as it was early morning yet and they hadn’t even left for school.
Another bright spot was that the sun was shining all day long! And DS#6 phoned to say happy birthday in the evening, then my neighbor came over too. So the day certainly wasn’t a wash out at all. She brought more books for me to read too. I’ll have a nice collection to read and to share at the campground this summer. She said she didn’t want them back just to pass them on when I’m finished.
Thank you All!
THINKING
Here's wishing you the top o' life without a single tumble.
Here's wishing you the smiles o' life and not a single grumble.
Here's wishing you the best o' life and not a claw about it.
Here's wishing you the joy in life and not a day without it

NEW IN THE KITCHEN

4 to 6 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
hot cooked noodles, buttered
Combine all and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Serve beef over hot, buttered noodles.
serves 6.
PRAYERS
O God, help us to be grateful for opportunities to forgive
and give us the strength to do so
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AMEN
AROUND HOME
It's what you learn after you know it all that counts
Harry Truman
At least all the snow has melted off the porch. There is still a lot to go but I’d say a good foot or so is gone now. The rest of the week is supposed to be warmer with temps getting up in the 50’s they say but most of the days from Wednesday on will have some rain in them. That is better than freezing cold and snow.
FAMILY
After seeing many of my children over the weekend, it sure seems extra quiet at my house. I do get used to the silence around here, but when Easter comes I’ll be ready for another family get together for sure.
COUNTING THE DAYS
Good for the body is the work of the body, and good for the soul is the work of the soul, and good for either is the work of the other
