ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 25TH, 2010
It's THURSDAY!
We’ll I made it over the hump of mid-week and now can coast right into the weekend. It has been another hard week at work as I’m trying to train my replacement on every aspect of what I do and what I do covers so many different things. For her to learn everything is near impossible but she is taking good notes and that is a very good thing.
Tomorrow will be a little easier as I will not have her in the office at all as she is only part time. She’s only scheduled to work 3 days a week, but we are doing a 4th day this week trying to encompass some of the reports that need done.
THINKING
Lent is a time to alter our way of looking at ourselves and our world
We can refuse to join in gossip. We can forgive someone who has deeply hurt us. We can lend a helping hand or perform anonymous acts of service. As often as we do these things, we are showing the whole world that we have accepted the privilege of being members of God’s family
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Thursdays are Breakfast for Dinner Days

PRAYERS
God of mercy, help us today to grow in your likeness. Let your word be a lamp to guide us, that we may live the truth and grow always in your love
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AMEN
God bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's!!!
AROUND HOME
I’ve learned… that one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them.
After having such a warm week last week, this one has been on the cold side. Today they are saying more rain. I have noticed that the grass is greener now and growing.
This week I’ve also seen some Robins. I’d been looking for them and now they are here again. Our little mama robin that always nested in the peak of our front porch has not returned since a couple of years ago when her nest was somehow destroyed.
I do miss seeing her around all the time, but I don’t miss the mess we always had on the porch.
FAMILY
I received word yesterday that an uncle on my Dad’s side of the family passed away and also that my brother-in-law’s Dad had passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all at this time of sorrow.

Sounds like Spring is beginning to pop up around you, and I know you welcome warmth and new life.
As always, I like your "Thinking" suggestions. The world would be a much better place if we put them into practice in our daily lives.
I'm sorry to hear of the losses in your family. God bless you!
