ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 16TH, 2010
One of the world's favorite comics, Jerry Lewis (1926-) was born Joseph Levitch on this day in Newark, New Jersey. Versatile, talented, and unique, Lewis has tirelessly raised over $1.6 billion since 1965 for Muscular Dystrophy, an organization that works to combat over 40 neuromuscular diseases. His 21-1/2 hour MDA telethon has become a Labor Day tradition

Today: Fast from teasing and the just kiddings that could hurt others’ feelings.

PRAYERS
The prayer of Saint Patrick of Ireland, Bishop and Missionary
As I arise today, may the strength of God pilot me, the power of God uphold me, the wisdom of God guide me. May the eye of God look before me, the ear of God hear me, the word of God speak for me. May the hand of God protect me, the way of God lie before me, the shield of God defend me, the host of God save me. May Christ shield me today...Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left, Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit, Christ when I stand, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me, Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me, Christ in every eye that sees me, Christ in every ear that hears me.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AMEN
AROUND HOME
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

I got through Monday just fine and today should be a breeze at work, but after that I start training my replacement. The boss made his decision and I agreed with his choice so hopefully things are going to work out well.
I’ll be training someone to do in 3 days what I normally do in 5 days. It can be done as I’ve done that before when I wanted to have a long 4 day weekend. It won’t be easy though. I think the worse thing will be coming in to work on Monday with all the accumulated mail sitting on the desk and payroll to do too.
I have changed my countdown till my retirement to the actual working days I have left. (weekends are not included) I was to retire the end of March but now I’m working through the first full week of April.
FAMILY
Spread love everywhere you go: First of all in your own house... let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting
Mother Teresa
I have to say that from what I’ve seen there is a great abundance of love in the homes of all my children. I’ve noticed that whenever I’ve visited with any of them.
It will be just a couple of weeks now until Easter. DS#1 and family will be visiting with DS#4 and family so they won’t be here and DS#2 won’t be able to get home, but DS#3 and his family, DS#6 and his family and DS#5 and his wife as well as DD and her hubby will all be together when we celebrate the Saturday before Easter this year.
