For Thursday, March 4th, 2010
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 4TH, 2010
It's THURSDAY!
Today is a day that we all can embrace. It's Hug a GI Day. Give a great big hug to any and all GIs you see today. The men and women, who march forth, in our armed forces deserve our thanks and appreciation.
GI's perform an invaluable service to our country. They risk their lives for our freedom, and to keep us safe. A simple hug is a small thanks for this vital service to our country.
And it is MARCH FORTH DAY!
March 4th invites us to march forth into our lives, take on new experiences, and celebrate our accomplishments.
THINKING
Prayer is about our heart, not about our words.
Today: Pray for someone in your life who you know is going through a difficult time.
Jesus stood still and called them, saying,
What do you want me to do for you
Matthew 20:32
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
Breakfast for Dinner Day!
Sausage Hash
One of my blogger buddies shared this recipe or one almost like it the other day so I decided to try it out. It’s simple and easy so I thought I’d share it with you all today.
I didn’t copy down her exact instructions but I’ll tell you how I made it.
1 lb package bulk sausage
6 potatoes
1 onion
1 green pepper
1 can sliced carrots drained.
Salt and pepper to taste.
First brown your sausage and when it’s almost done browning add chopped onion and green pepper and cubed peeled potatoes. Stir. Turn the heat down. Place a lid on the pan and let them cook till they are tender. Make sure you give it all a stir now and then so nothing is sticking to the bottom of the pan. Add the carrots which have been drained to this mixture and let them heat through.
I enjoyed it very much and will for the next few days as it makes enough for five or 6 people.
PRAYERS
Lord, Help us always, for without You we are bound to fail
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
Lose an hour in the morning and you'll be all day hunting for it
That was me with a lost hour and hunting all day yesterday. It wasn’t that I overslept. I was even up before the alarm went off, but my internet connection was very trying to say the least.
Today so far it’s doing great again so hopefully I’ll get this newsletter out to you.
Well then I went to the library after work and they said 2 of my books were overdue…well I was sure that I’d already returned them week before last before they were due. The library says they do not have them, I don’t have them either. Long tale short, I won’t be going to the library any more…I didn’t save any money there for sure. I paid full price for two well used books . I don’t know what they did with them, but as far as I can determine they are not at my house.
Hopefully today will be much better all around.
