ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
MARCH 7TH, 2010
It's SUNDAY!
We had a great time at DS#6’s yesterday. A lot of his wife’s family and DD and her hubby. DS#1 and his family and DS#5 and his wife were all there. We shared some gifts and ate birthday cake and I loved getting some of those wonderful hugs that I miss so much when I’m home alone. I also enjoyed holding our little Lucky who was such a doll not fusing at all with all the people there. He just snoozed away and enjoyed all the attention he got.
THINKING

1) Do it today.
2) Tomorrow will be today tomorrow.

Today: Give your time to a project you’ve been avoiding
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
No recipes from me today. I got my share of birthday cake and ice cream yesterday and today I’m being taken to lunch after church by DS#5 and his wife and DD and her hubby. Officially tomorrow is my birthday, but that’s ok it is much easier to celebrate on the weekend when we’re all off work.
Monday will just be another work day with nothing special happening at all.
PRAYERS
Thank you, God, for the power of Christ that works through us in our weakness. Help us to trust you to work out your good purposes in us.
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
AROUND HOME
Indoors or out, no one relaxes in March, that month of wind and taxes, the wind will presently disappear, the taxes last us all the year
Ogden Nash
This month certainly did start off very busy and I don’t foresee it being any less busy the entire month. Work will be a challenge what with a new person coming in to be trained and my boss going off on vacation. Before we know it Easter will be here. After that I’ll just have one more week of work and then I can relax.
FAMILY
Sunday is family day
The family that prays together stays together, and the family that plays together stays happy together!
This morning I’ll be off to church and expect DD and DS#5 will be there. Then we’ll be off to lunch at Red Lobster. Usually these same 4 take me out to eat there for my birthday every year. It’s really the only time I do go there, but I love it.
DS#6 and his wife gave me a gift certificate for Carrabba’s so when I go up to see them they’ll be taking me out to eat there too.
COUNTING THE DAYS
It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade

40 DAYS UNTIL CAMPING SEASON BEGINS
25 DAYS UNTIL MA RETIRES
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…
