ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY NOVEMBER 30TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is Giving Tuesday which is an opportunity to step back from the chaos of Black Friday and Cyber Monday and embrace the best part of the holidays, the season of giving .It is a day to give give back to your community or support the causes that mean the most to you .
The tradition of charitable giving during the holidays began thousands of years ago. Today it continues to be an important part of many cultures and religions around the world . During the Hindu festival of Diwali, for example, dana , charitable giving and save, selflessness, are two key components of the holiday.
To celebrate today, donate to your favorite nonprofit, drop off some canned goods at your local food pantry or organize a neighborhood coat drive.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.
Mother Theresa
I love to give to others, it makes me happy. Whatever we give we always get back ten fold. My favorite charity is a group called Helping Hands at our church that helps the poor in our community. Whether it is in money or in canned goods they can always use the help. This group helped me and my family in our time of need and I want to give back to them as much as I can. I’ll never forget the day they came to my door with bags of groceries for our Thanksgiving holiday. My husband had been laid off from work for serval months and we were in need of help and there they were right when we most needed it.
That was also the year a cat came to our door and we took him in and provided a home and food for him, we called him Thanks and he blessed us for many years.
It was to be the year that DDH also died the day after Thanksgiving in 1992, of a sudden heart attack. It was a loss for all of us, but we’re thankful to have had him in our lives. He was very loved is very missed to this day. If it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t have been members of the church that helped us in so many ways throughout our lives.
I’ve always thought it was more blessed to give than receive but I’m thankful for all I’ve been given. I cannot stop counting my blessings as you know, by reading the list I post every day.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.

My gift to all of you - lots of love and hugs ((((HUGS)))
Thank you for sharing your own, private glimpse at 'the other side' of giving. Need doesn't necessarily mean a certain socioeconomic class, does it. I think it's wonderful how, remembering your own circumstances, prompted you to help others.
