Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Innergize Day!
Innergize Day is always celebrated on the day after the Autumnal Equinox. For those who don’t know, Innergize Day is a holiday made for relaxing, rejuvenating and reflecting; in other words – it is a day just for you. Take time today to devote some TLC to yourself and celebrate by doing your favorite relaxing things. Take an extra long bath, read that book you’ve been meaning to get to, do some breathing techniques or use this time to do something creative. Remember that like the Earth, people need to experience a time of hibernation to prepare for renewal.
Let stress and worry fade away for the day.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Goals help you channel your energy into action.
Les Brown
Every winter it seems I go into my hibernation mode. Staying in where it is warm and cozy, eating lots of good comfort food and sleeping more. So fall is the perfect time for me to get ready for those cold days to come.
The warm rays of the sunshine do a lot to heal and energize my soul and my body and now it’s cooler out it’s easier for me to enjoy the outdoors and even take a nap on the porch for that matter. Most of the summer I spent indoors in the air conditioning.
It’s time to get busy and get the fall and warmer clothing out and switch the closets around. I’ve started, but have a long way to go. It’s also time to stock the pantry. There will be a lot of cooking and baking to do in the months to come and I want to have what I need on hand.
This time of year is when trips to the farmers markets and apple orchards are a lot of fun. Colorful displays of pumpkins and indian corn abound. I do love a good Apple Fritter and a cup of Apple Cider to go with it.
It’s going to be an energizing season for me knowing that hibernation is not so very far away. Autumn is a time of finishing off projects and preparing for the winter season. There is time to be still in winter.
I hope you all have a GREAT day, Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Energy and persistence alter all things.
Benjamin Franklin
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

3158. for the wonderful colors of Autumn
3159. for warm clothing, it will soon be needed
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
91 Days Until Christmas
Create a gift list that includes everyone to whom you would like to give a gift this Christmas. In my case I make a list of what I want to make for each member of my family. Place the list in your holiday planner directly behind your calendars and begin to jot gift ideas as you think of them. Be sure to make notes about your ideas and list the final gift once you’ve made or purchased it. Then refer back to the list for future gift giving occasions such as birthdays or other celebrations.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.
William James
A little smile, a word of cheer,

My gosh, 91 days to Christmas! But yep, 3 months from today is Christmas Eve!! It is good to get ready for the winter ahead with changing out of the clothes and stocking the pantry. I think we'll be moving in December so most likely we'll do our stocking after we settle in to the new place :)

We have lived here a year and a half, and my husband went in the master bedroom closet, came out, and shook his head. "How do you find ANYTHING in there!". He's right! I'm looking forward to "staying inside" weather and cleaning the closets!
Hubby has finished making the Halloween card, I have started making the Thanksgiving cards and I bought the Christmas cards last year... And of course we have done a bit of Christmas shopping already too... :)
