IT’S SATURDAY !!
GOOD BYE FEBRUARY!
I’m slowly waking up and enjoying the good coffee today!
After having had the 8 o’clock coffee this past week, I decided I was spoiled and preferred the flavored coffee so I found some yesterday when I stopped at the farm market close to where I work.
It’s called Blackberry Crème and it’s made by the Euclid Coffee Company right in Cleveland, Ohio. I’d never heard of it before, but it’s nice to know I’m supporting a northern Ohio company. I was reading the instructions on the bag and it says the finer the grind the stronger the coffee will be. I learn something new every day of my life. I’d never heard that one before.
Snow came back to our area Friday afternoon along with colder temps. It seems I’ve not been able to warm up all week. Even though we were in the 40’s it was raining and damp. Last night it went back into the 20’s.
BrrrChill!
It’s a perfect morning for a good cup of hot coffee!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is National Tooth Fairy Day
National Tooth Fairy Day celebrates one of childhood's favorite visitors. The Tooth Fairy is an American tradition with European and superstitious roots.
Losing baby teeth is a sometimes traumatic experience for young children. Enter the world of the friendly, smiling and soothing Tooth Fairy. As a young child's first baby tooth becomes lose, the child often fears losing it. The promise of a visit from the tooth fairy and a gift, turns the occasion into something to look forward to. When the tooth finally falls out, mom cleans it off. It is often put it into a "tooth box". At bedtime, the child puts the tooth under his pillow. The tooth fairy comes after the child falls asleep. She takes the tooth and leaves a small gift, usually money. The tooth fairy leaves a gift every time the child loses a tooth.
Never fear: If the tooth is literally lost in some way, don't worry. The Tooth Fairy always knows, and will still leave a gift. She magically knows each time a baby tooth falls out, and will arrive that night , even if the child is away at grandmas, or on vacation

IT’S FINALLY FRIDAY !!
My weekend begins today at 5:00. I’m going to come home, put the fleecey pj’s on and relax. I can hardly wait.
We had some rain and by tonight may see some much colder weather come our way and maybe snow again. Tomorrow is the last day of February and we still have March and maybe even April for chances of snow. If March comes in like a lion they say it’ll go out like a lamb.
I’ll be counting sheep in my dreams. Camping season begins April 3rd so I would like April to be snow free. Our family Easter celebration will be the weekend before the Easter which is also the weekend the Campground opens. So I won’t be camping that weekend, but from then on out I plan to be there every weekend til the end of October.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

SOMETHING TO DO FOR LENT
With the first Friday in Lent, abstinence from meat comes to the family table. Serving a meatless meal is meant to promote sacrifice
One of our favorites is rice and bean tostados or tacos. It's instant brown rice, chopped onion, and once that is simmering, you add a can red beans in chili sauce. Stir that, then add a can of corn (drained). Mix it together and heat. Then serve it as tacos or over heated flat tortillas w/ lettuce. We use cheese, but it's flavored enough to omit the cheese

IT’S THURSDAY !!
We are on the downhill slide now into the weekend. The weather has warmed up into the 40’s and lots more melting of snow has been going on. I noticed the last of the piles have disappeared at work, but my front yard where it is shady all day still has some.
The days are really getting longer now. I’ve not been totally in the dark on my way into work for the last couple days. March 8th we set the clocks ahead so for a couple of weeks then I’ll go back to being in the dark, but that won’t last long. I love being able to see where I’m going in the morning.
One of my online devotional sites had this to say about Ash Wednesday.
Today is not about doom, gloom or negativity. It’s a day to celebrate the gift of now and the gift of today. Ash Wednesday reminds us that we don’t go on forever and the coming weeks of Lent are an opportunity to delight in the gifts of each and every day
It is so true. We really need to appreciate and celebrate each day.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

OVER THE HUMP DAY!
Lent begins today!
I made my dozen or so pancakes last night and turned on the TV in the kitchen while I was doing that. Dr Phil happened to be on. I don’t watch his show as a rule, but he had some important things to say about scammers. They are getting worse and worse. Please never give any personal information over the phone or online.
If an offer sounds too good to be true it probably is. One man even talked about how his face book account had been hacked into and thieves were using it to their advantage. I think I’m going to close my face book account after hearing that one. I really don’t use it anyway.
After work this evening, DD will pick me up so we can go to church together. Other than that all is quiet here.

The legend of the raindrop
Has a lesson for us all
As it trembled in the the Heavens
Questioning if it should fall
For the glistening raindrop argued
By the genie of the sky
I am beautiful and lovely
As a sparkle here on high
And hanging here
I will become
Part of the rainbow's hue
And I'll shimmer like a diamond
For all the world to view
But the genie told the raindrop
"Why do you hesitate to go?"
For you will be more beautiful
If you fall to earth below
For you will sink in the soil
And be at lost awhile from sight
But when you reappear on earth
You will be looked upon with delight
For you will be the raindrop
That quenched the thirsty ground
And helped the lovely flowers
To blossom all around
And in your resurrection
You'll appear in queenly clothes
With the beauty of the sky
And the fragrance of the rose
For there is nothing lost
Or eternally neglected
For everything God ever made
Is always resurrected
So trust God's all wise wisdom
And doubt the Father never
For in His Heavenly Kingdom
There is nothing lost forever

BACK TO WORK!
It was a nice weekend and very quiet except for my luncheon on Saturday.
We didn’t get much snow at all til Sunday evening. Now the ground is once more covered in white.
The week ahead looks to be a busy one all due to the beginning of Lent.
Wednesday I’ll go to evening services to receive my ashes.
Thursday evening is the usual Bible Study
And Friday evening will be Stations of the Cross at church.
I try to participate in as many things as I can during Lent. It is a way of preparing our hearts for Easter.
It will be another quiet day at work as there is still no one but me on the payroll. This week they are putting some of the men back to work so that is a good thing. Next Monday I’ll have more to do.
