ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
THURSDAY,JANUARY 27TH, 2022
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

My favorite chocolate cake would have to be German Chocolate. I love the pecan and toasted coconut frosting.
A couple of my sons prefer a chocolate Patashio cake for their birthdays . That is what the pictures are of today.
A friend of mine shared some of her cake years ago and the boys loved it so she gave me her recipe. I had never had it before and it’s delicious. Now I make it at least once or twice a year, depending on whether or not I’ll see them on their birthday.
I’ve shared this recipe before so I won’t do so again today, but you can find it in my archived blog posts. I’ve labeled every thing, so all you have to do is click on cakes in the sidebar and scroll down until you come to it.
Some of you may not be able to access my blog because you have to have a google email to be able to do so. It’s easy to set one up and continue to view my blogs on line.
My Yahoo. email was grandfathered in years ago so that is what I use to this day.
I love blogging as it helps to keep all my recipes in one place and over the years I’ve collected a lot of them. Not all are favorites but this recipe is definitely a favorite of mine.
I’m going to try to venture out and about today and do my shopping. It’s to be mid to upper 20’s, much better than our yesterday was.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!!

Enjoy a piece of chocolate cake today and celebrate !
That (cake) recipe sounds yummy, indeed! They probably don't make it anymore, but I'm intrigued by the Ginger variety. My Tom's favorite is German Chocolate, too! Last February I made one from scratch -- what a mess, but this year I'm either buying a box mix or have one of the local bakeries do the honors.
